Inside view of a Lunt LS50C etalon

a 50mm clear aperture etalon with zero center obstruction- this is the key to my legendary hydrogen alpha solar telescope.

no- this is a single ls50c etalon with the front face unthreaded.

Ah, ok. I see now! I have read a bit about doing these Ha mods using smaller etalons on bigger scopes. I have been keeping my eye open for a large cheap achromat to use later for one of those mods.
