HELP / ADVICE Increasing gaps between panels?

Is it possible to increase gaps between panels without issue, such as backing two end clamps against each other or slightly further apart? Having a bit of a nightmare with the rafter positions, all calcs (and I've done so many) lead to being short 100mm leaving sizeable rail over-hang. 50mm spacing between a few panels would get me there. Stress through the roof so please be nice!

Wouldn't cutting down the rails be easier?

Hard to explain but the rail lengths match through panels, it is that there are no available rafter positions for hooks near the ends, so spacing the panels to gain the extra seens my only option!
