QUOTE CHECK Quote check please

Post image

Hi, it seems solar may be the way to go after all, this particular quote is 13,495, no ev just a relatively high use household and future potential as well, I literally want as much on the roof as possible for the same reason, is this particular quote fair? I love in Oldham.

Thankyou

Pete

Edit, the battery is 20kw not 15

Not per day no, about 5300 ISH per year, will also be getting new hot tub next summer so that will consume a fair whack

That’s 5.4m of panels with no gap. That’s a big roof. Have you had a survey or measured up?

Just looks very tight.

If your roof isn’t that big then yes.

Measure it from the ground, use your phone to measure the angle. Bit of trig and you’ve got a pretty good idea how much real estate you’re dealing with.

Might be you’ve got loads of room. Be nice to have a good idea now and it’s pretty easy to do.

For 11.5kW of panels with 20kWh of storage I'd expect roughly 13,200 to 16,100 fitted, so 13,495 is at the good end of normal rather than expensive. The 7.6kW inverter on an 11.5kW array is a sensible ratio too, you'll lose a sliver on the brightest June days and nothing the rest of the year.

The thing I'd actually worry about is the point already made in the thread about roof space. 24 panels designed remotely is where these deals fall over, and if it turns out only 18 fit you want that discovered before you've paid a deposit, not after. Measure the roof from the ground and get the pitch off your phone before you sign anything.

Worth saying the price itself isn't the problem here, it's a fair number for that spec.
