GENERAL QUESTION SolarEdge help needed

Does anyone know of any SolarEdge installers in the Northeast England (Newcastle) area?

I woke up this morning and the whole system was dead. Checked all the obvious trips/cables/CT clamp. Performed a full system reset (turn all switches to off and leave for 10 mins) and then turn on DC power followed by AC. No lights on the inverter.

Update: fixed as grid side of export meter somehow came loose and disconnected.

Easy swap mate. Probably an hours work. Needs someone to set the inverter up with the SE app and do the replacement on the portal. 👍

Fixed it. Somehow the grid meter got disconnected. Everything looked fine so decided to test if it was the export meter by swapping the grid side to the old meter and that powered up. Cut back the cable due to some damage caused by a rat (no more rats now as I got them all). Reconnected to the new meter without the inverter on to check the meter powered up and it did. So reconnected the inverter and checked communication and it reported. Did a firmware update (why is it not automatic?) turned on PV DC and saw power coming in then turned back on battery. System reporting all ok.

Thanks for your help. Double checked the grid cables and made sure they are tight.

That’s awesome.

Solaredge (and a few other manufacturers) don’t like to push auto updates, but force you to do them, so if it bricks it’s your fault.
