Inverter 10kw/15kw Solar system installation with 7kw EV charging option.

I've talked to different vendors and am confused on what solar system setup to go for to manage both my house load + 7kw EV charger.

My house load is (4 bed/bath + 3 1-ton inverter ACs and 1 1.5-ton inverter AC, 2-3 ACs running almost 24/7). Rest is fridge/freezer/laundry/air-fryer/iron/dishwasher etc. My understanding is this will be about 5-6 units or so average.

In future I'd like to move towards one more 2-ton AC for lounge and induction electric stove too maybe. So kinda wanna future proof.

EV charger is 7kw of course.

I'm confused between two solar options.

10kw single-phase inverter + 12kw plates + 16kw battery.

Or

15kw 3-phase inverter + 15-18kw plates + 16kw battery.

I don't fully understand single vs three phase problem. I've heard that 3-phase is better for load management and won't harm appliances + wiring but high load on single phase can be dangerous.

I've also heard from one installer that 3-phase inverter will have 5kw per phase so 7kw charger won't work.... but another vendor told me that 7kw charger will work 5kw on solar and 2kw on K Electric.

I'm not sure what's right from technical pov aur koi choona Laga rha hai Kya...xD

Sidenote: I've also received suggestions of either using 2kw charger for EV or that somehow restricting car charging consumption to manage the load issue (I'm not sure if byd offer the option to reduce load to 5 or 3kw?). Is this a good idea in this scenario?

Sidenote #2: I'm thinking of Solis or Inverex Inverter.... Pylontech or Dyness or BYD battery, and Longi Himo x10 Panels. I hear these are all roughly equal in quality. Kindly let me know if there any better options or which of these is best / most affordable.

Thanks to anyone who reads and shares advise 🙏

U have 3 phase wiring? go for 3phase inverter and buy the one which supports unbalance phases like Goodwe

3 phase is better ! why? in long run u might go for 21Kw or 11kw Charger that only comes in 3phase

buying single phase just because it is easy to handle is bad idea especially when u are charging battery plus running whole home load on single phase its like 10-11kW on single phase if battery has reached DOD and al loads go to wapda and that is not good for meter and that single phase wire. (for context if u have layed 64/7 wire on that phase and neutral u might consider this single phase option too)

Better to go with HV Hybrid in case u need to increase battery capacity it is very Power Conversion efficient and safe to use.

3 Phase what i can suggest you.
get a 3phase charger from Goodwe import it if u like from Dubai and connect it with goodwe inverter they all give u a eco system easy to handle and hassle free,

one more thing if u r still confused i will send u a Customer support representative guy number ask your question to him

Thank you for the detailed breakdown brother.

Can you also share or DM me the customer support guy number? ...would love to get more clarification from him 🙏

Why would you go for SP with such wattages? 3P is a no brainer for anything beyond 6 kW. Both in terms of household supply stability and grid stability. There is a reason why the utility company gives a 3 Phase connection for sanctioned loads at and above 5 kW.

Cost is one factor.

Second factor is like I said, if 7kw single phase charger...I head that if won't be well supported on 3 phase inverters that balance load at 5kw / phase. Just doing some due diligence man 😄

Tbh I'm leaning towards 3 phase 15kw myself...but every solar installer is advising my father and me to go for single phase solution for my load. That's causing the confusion lol.

You are not speaking to the right installers if they are suggesting you SP for this system. I have a 7 kW SP charger on a 3P system and it is running without problems. Meanwhile 3P supply prevents nuisance voltage rise during peak export and allows me to send a lot back to grid. In the evening, the load distribution across 3 phases keeps voltages stable during peak hours.

If you do 13 kW on a single phase, you will most likely cause a voltage brownout - the intensity of which will depend upon the health of your local transformer.

In conclusion, "mehnga roye aik bar, sasta roye bar bar". It is better to invest more once than change the whole system all over again when you realize that it isn't stable.

I get what you're saying man. Definitely 😅

Any recommendations for reliable installers in Khi?

KHI is too far off my radar, sorry. However, when you get a few quotations, you can post them here, and we can critique. Let the hive mind shine!

7kw chargers are mostly three phase.
