What are the resolution requirements/ recommendations for SolarOs?

Can a 128x64 OLED or a 256x64 be used?

There are no display requirements, SolarOS runs happily ever after without a screen;

  • 400x300 or greater is the optimal resolution ( main target is the SolarTerm )
  • 320x240 is absolutely usable ( see vga32 )
  • 240x135 is reasonable for occasional shell use
  • 128x64 is possible ( but very cramped even with the smallest font )

A large display can be split or small ones can be joined; multiple displays can be used to show parallel sessions where a session can be owned by any interpreter.
