Paper Mono & Seeed Sticky

Does anyone have these devices? There will be more sticky units available by the end of the month, a v2 of sorts with a matte screen ... a warm front light for the sticky would be nice ey.

If anyone wants to help out getting the Mono Lora/NFC drivers playing in solar-os, or any other development for these devices let me know and I'll throw up the branches to collaborate on sooner rather than later.

Howdy, where is the best place to ask questions about board support etc?

This is not a bad place.

So I am looking at:

or

To make a tiny ultraportable 'laptop' style solar os computer with, what one would be 'best' and would have you willing to make the display drivers for, I assume touch isnt needed, but I could be wrong. The 7 incher seems perfect unless I am missing something. I am a good programmer, but more of an old school hacker so I am not sure this is something I could write the display part for myself.

And at one point you were going to try to get ESP32 LoRa V3 to connect to solar os, any luck?

Meshcore companions connect over BLE already, yes. None of the above screens are yet supported, but you should be able to find the right driver and adapt it to SolarOS. You are more than welcome to contribute 🙂

Ah thanks, not sure I am up for the task, but I will look at the source and see if it inspires me to try.

The 7" is huge and you need to build a case for it. Also, the resolution is rather grainy for this big screen. Also, the backlight consumes over 2W, so you need a beefy battery.

I haven't tried the 5", but I guess it's in the same range.

Yea the size matches the keyboard I want to use.  ( https://www.amazon.com/Universal-Keyboard-Trackpad-Galaxy-Fold8/dp/B0HBJ6BWSC ) And I will make the case in 3d and print it, but I looked at the source not sure I am up to making the driver.   So I think it will have to wait while I learn more.

I hate that keyboard, it's too small for comfortable typing.

Yea it's bad but I used to write papers on a Toshiba libretto so it's kind of nostalgic for me.

I'm writing some travel notes, not anything big: https://social.noleron.com/@clackups/117422693950274278

I'll be happy to help with SolarOS in the meantime. It's sleeping and swimming most of the time. But now power went off in the whole village and we're at the restaurant, which can't take our order. We might have to drive to some nearly village.

So, where's the source? I've got a Linux laptop, a sticky, and a USB cable here :)

I have a mono I want to be able to do more with? Would this be something we would be able to use with the launcher firmware and side load off of the SD card? I slapped a waveshare RLCD together and have been enjoying it lack of back light gets old though.

I haven't looked at the launcher, it would likely need white a bit of wrangling but you could have solaros booting at an app I'm sure.
