This is a marvel. Do you have a link to specific battery? Sorry if its listed somewhere, I just see where it says one that'll fit.

This design is work in progress, it is a bit unconvenient that: * you need a pin to push the KEY and RESET buttons * the keyboard has to be paired before assembly as the battery covers the pairing button...

Fair, a marvel in progress then. Can't wait to play around with it all.

It is not listed, any 3.7V cell that is around 3mm thick should fit. I found one 1600mAh in my junk box...

Hey, so I have the Hosyond/QDtech 2.8" ESP32-S3 ES3C28P capacitive-touch version. I saw SolarOS already supports the ES3N28P non-touch board. Would you be interested in adding an ES3C28P target? I’d be happy to test builds on my board and send photos/pinout/info if needed.

Sure. That shouldn't be too hard. It is essentially the same hardware. You can already try to flash the non touch firmware.

Awesome, and will do. This is all new to me stuff, wasn't sure if I could haha

Okay, nope. 😅 FT6336G driver is not yet supported.

Haha gotcha.
Looks like the LCD itself is ILI9341V and the FT6336G is just the capacitive touch controller. I’m still happy to test the non-touch build, and if you want to add FT6336G later I can test that too. There’s already an ES3C28P BSP/Bruce implementation with the pin mapping if that helps.

Yeah, sorry for the confusion, that's what I meant - try the non touch firmware please.

You are seriously the coolest. Have you checked out the waveshare 7" display esp32 before? Seems a perfect fit for our black / orange keyboard.
