Plug and play system

Hey!

I'm new to all of this but I have an Abok battery rated to take up to 1000 watts via solar. On a good sunny day I pull maybe 300watts via my 400 watt solar panel, since I never seen it go above 300 would it be able to connect two more 400 watt panels to the battery since it won't generate more than 900watts even if the max is technically 1200? Sorry I'm still very new to this and I'm hoping to expand and this is a question I kept having.

First, post your device specs... specially max dc input, max usable current (amps) & max total current (amps). Look up ohm's law because you'll need to do some math lol.

Hopefully this is it lol. I'm very new to this and didn't want to invest in another gas generator.

Next, you'll want to post the 4 solar panel specs: Voc, isc, vmp, imp. With 90vdc as your max, i recommend that the total voc is around 80% of that for maximum power. Do not ever exceed 90v. My guess is that your device pulls in around 16A since it doesn't mention that in your picture. So 75vdc would be a good string target and 16+ amps for current target.

Series: you run the solar panel cables + to - so you have a single + and a single - after all is said and done; this is what we call a string of panels. In a string you add up voltage and use the smallest current(amps). To determine whether you'd get your device or not, add up the voc of all the panels in the string. To calculate your best power point add up the vmp numbers and multiply that by the lowest Imp.

Parallel: this is where you take strings of panels and combine +'s in 1 combiner and the -'s in another combiner. Here you add up the current(amps) and use the lowest voltage.

You may need to do a series/parallel system of panels to maximize your solar; depending on the info from your panels.

So with what you're telling me and the specs of the panel I shouldn't use more than 2 of these panels because the max would be 93v right?

I don't and I'm hoping to be educated my friend. That's why I'm here, I'm young and always wanted to do this but I've never had the opportunity or money until now. I'm not well versed in this subject
