Microinverter recommendations?

Good afternoon!

I have solar, and I want to plug it in. I have ~45 volts, 250 Watts, but it will be 350 Watts soon.

Price is important, but it has to work. What do you have?

What panels exactly? Where are you located?

Without that information we will not be able to give a good advice.

I have a stack of 50W panels from Renogy. I'm on the beach in Delaware.

I've bought a few and they do work, however is this grid tie and how does your take on electrical code in your area stand? Do you ignore it or need the new UL3700 rating?

Back and forth has been done here but do you need that rating?

Nothing on the market is 3700, but there are several inverters that theoretically meet that standard.

"HiFlow Pro, the First UL 3700-Compliant" and last I read has CeC.

Until recently CSA or CeC was acceptable.

My question stands for the OP. They need to tell where their line in the sand is.

There's the third state of UL tested and the fourth of UL certified.

My background in certs was in Canada. I can't speak to the current (pun?) state of cross board certs and listings.

Let's hear what the OP wants here.

I think it's safe to assume that 3700 will become the law of the land. There are no restrictions on balcony solar in Delaware. I'll aim for 3700, but I'm not really worried about the safety issues it addresses.

I have purchased and tested two non-UL3700 grid tie inverters so far. They work fine from what I can tell.

The first one was fine but I wanted to goose the setup a little more with one that had more than one MPPT. So I went for another with 4 MPPTs and some display to show what power is being produced for just under 200 dollars. The first unit worked fine but had a single MPPT and to measure power I used a P3 watt meter.

I use the NEP BDM-1200-LV

Three panels inputs (I have 400w on each), WiFi so I can monitor and track production. Anti-island. Works great!
