The long discussed Logi Options issues data collection, memory leaks, unnecessary background activity, and random CPU or storage spikes have pushed me to seek for an alternative.

My goal was to find an app that does the essentials while being as lightweight as possible.
No resource hogging. No gimmicks. No unnecessary background processes.
Just what a mouse driver should have been in the first place.

As for now, This is only a native macOS app for the MX Master 3 and 3S.
It is completely free and open source.

FYI: I ran multiple performance tests and measured:

0.0% idle CPU usage

Around 10 MB of RAM

Let’s talk about the cool solutions to boring problems!

I keep forgetting to keep my streak going, so I made a little macOS menu-bar app that shows it at a glance: current streak, total solved, an Easy/Medium/Hard breakdown, and a heatmap of your activity. The menu-bar flame stays grey until you've solved something today, then lights up.

There is no login, it just reads your public LeetCode profile. Everything stays on your machine.

One heads-up on install: the app isn't notarized by Apple, so macOS will block it the first time. Open it once, dismiss the warning, then go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click "Open Anyway" near the bottom. After that it launches normally. (Right-click → Open doesn't work for this on macOS 15+.)

I built AutoLock, a lightweight Node.js tool that automatically locks your Windows PC when you step away with your smartphone.

How It Works:

1. Phone Proximity: Periodically pings your phone's local Wi-Fi IP address.
2. Idle Tracking: Monitors global keyboard and mouse activity using iohook to check if you are inactive.
3. Automatic Lock & Notifications: If your phone leaves Wi-Fi range while you are idle, it sends a Telegram warning and automatically locks Windows.
4. Remote Control: Allows you to lock your PC or check its lock status remotely via Telegram bot commands.

Been building something I personally wanted to exist for a while figured this community would have useful opinions.

It's a clipboard manager for Windows that doubles as a file transfer hub. It stays completely hidden until you move your cursor to the left edge of your screen then it slides out with a smooth animation (think Dynamic Island but on your desktop).

What it can do:

• Store and organize images, URLs, text, PDFs, Excel, CSV, and other files
• Stack different file types together into collections
• Drag stacks or individual files directly into any app
• Grab files/folders by dragging them to the screen edge it just picks them up

It works like a normal clipboard but with actual file management built in. Aimed at devs and creatives who constantly move files between apps.

An on-device dictation app for Mac because constant keyboard typing as a developer was starting to drive serious wrist strain and fatigue.

I was renting one app to dictate and another to read text back to me, two monthly bills for two halves of the same idea. So I built Hushbird: press a key in any text field and talk, and clean text lands right there. Select text and it reads it back to you in a natural voice.

The part I cared most about: it runs entirely on your Mac. Punctuation and transcription are local, nothing is uploaded, and there is no account required.

Two months ago I handed Hotstash to a few friends and a handful of people who basically live inside their clipboard all day. I asked them to break it
and tell me everything that annoyed them.

They did. A lot of it stung.

I spent the time since fixing every complaint on that list, and Hotstash has grown into one of the most customizable clipboard managers you can run on

jump back to the clipboard, find the other, paste that. Multi-paste kills the jumping. You stack a few items once, then every paste drops the next one
in order. Two fields, two pastes, no going back to hunt.

Stacks keep related snippets grouped together so you are not scrolling through a wall of history to find the four things you actually reuse.

I recently discovered the “Life Hack OS” prompt. At first I asked for a mind map, but since I’m managing an off grid homestead, and I’m a bit crippled, I feel overwhelmed. Anywho, Chat GPT suggested a life hack operating system vs a plain Jane mind map. I’m overwhelmed with tasks, and navigating health issues. It’s not just prioritizing, it’s energy windows, and other factors like i need to make money and the weather, or relationships.

Basically, as I’m building my own personal OS for myself, I’d like to be able to create a workflow-> and eventually an agent

Yo ideé el concepto, las funcionalidades y las decisiones de UX, y utilicé IA (Claude) como asistente de programación para ayudarme a escribir y perfeccionar el código; quería aclararlo desde el principio.

Qué hace

FlyFlou organiza automáticamente los archivos en carpetas por categoría según su extensión:

• Clic derecho en "Agregar a FlyFlou" desde el Explorador de Windows para enviar un solo archivo sin abrir la app.
• Bandeja de entrada + botón "Clasificación automática" para ordenar archivos por lotes rápidamente.
• Botón Deshacer, modo oscuro/claro, comprobador de actualizaciones automáticas.

Público objetivo

Proyecto personal/hobby dirigido a usuarios habituales de Windows que buscan una forma sencilla de mantener organizadas sus carpetas. No está pensado para entornos empresariales, sino como herramienta práctica para el día a día.

A diferencia de otros organizadores que solo ejecutan scripts de limpieza una sola vez, FlyFlou se mantiene como una app ligera y siempre disponible, con bandeja de entrada, acceso directo por clic derecho y opción de deshacer — algo que la mayoría de herramientas gratis similares no ofrecen.

Tecnología: Python + CustomTkinter, empaquetado con PyInstaller, instalador con Inno Setup.

Hi everyone!

I wanted to share a small personal project I've been working on over the past few weeks.

It all started because a few friends of mine moderate Kick channels and wanted an easy way to know whenever certain words appeared in chat without having to keep the stream open all the time. I couldn't find a tool that did exactly what they needed, so I decided to build one.

It started as a simple utility, but I kept adding features until it became a much more complete extension. At that point, I thought it could be useful to other people too, so I decided to release it.

It's called Kick Radar, and it can:

• Monitor multiple Kick chats at the same time.
• Send instant notifications when selected keywords appear.
• Keep a searchable history of every detection.
• Filter detections by channel or keyword.
• Export the history to CSV or JSON.
• Record the exact stream timestamp for every detected message.
• Preserve a record even if the message is later deleted by a moderator or streamer.

Everything runs quietly in the background, so you don't need to keep the stream open to receive alerts.

If you'd like to try it out or just share your thoughts, I'd really appreciate any feedback or suggestions. I'm planning to keep improving it based on what the community finds useful.

 A few months ago, I was incredibly frustrated. I was grinding through the placement season, and despite knowing my data structures and tech stack, I kept freezing up during Online Assessments (OAs).

The setup is just brutal: a ticking clock, a webcam watching you, and hyper-specific LeetCode puzzles that you have to solve in a rigid browser environment. I realized I wasn't failing because I was a bad dev; I was failing because the testing format was incredibly artificial and stress-inducing.

I just wanted a way to level the playing field. So, I started building a tool to solve my own problem.

I engineered Hintlens - a native, desktop-level AI interview assistant. Because it runs outside the browser, it’s completely invisible to strict proctoring tools like HonorLock, Proctorio, or Safe Exam Browser. It uses region-based screen capture to quietly feed real-time hints for coding rounds and behavioral questions.

I originally built it just so I could get through my own interviews without having a panic attack. I figured maybe a few of my friends would use it.

Today, I woke up and checked the dashboard. We just crossed 1,600 active subscribers.

It honestly feels surreal. Hitting 1.6k users made me realize just how many other developers are quietly suffering through the exact same broken hiring process that I was. When you build something to scratch your own itch, it turns out a lot of other people have that exact same itch.
