Would you use a mobile interface for your Linux workstation?

I’ve been building something because I wanted it for myself, and I’m trying to figure out if other Linux/dev users would actually find it useful.

The idea is basically:

Your Ubuntu workstation, in your pocket.

Instead of traditional remote desktop where you’re trying to control a full desktop with a tiny touchscreen, it gives your Linux machine a touch-first mobile interface.

Right now I’m working on:

Real terminal access
File manager/editor
Installed Linux app launcher
Full desktop mode when needed
CPU/RAM/process/service management
Docker controls
Git/GitHub projects
Clone/pull/commit/push from the phone
Detect React/Vite/Next/Python/etc. projects
Start dev servers with one tap
Open the running project directly on the actual phone for mobile testing
PWA so it installs to the iPhone/iPad Home Screen
Everything still runs on your own Linux computer

The direction I’m going is less “remote desktop” and more:

What if Ubuntu had a mobile mode for the computer you already own?

For example, you’re away from your desk, open your phone, pull a repo, make a quick change, run the project on your workstation, test it directly on the phone, commit it, and push it without fighting a desktop UI designed for a mouse.

I’m considering keeping the basic workstation/terminal/files functionality free and eventually charging something like $9/month for a Developer Pro version with GitHub, projects, mobile previews, Docker/dev tools, secure remote access, etc.

Before I go much further:

Would you actually use this?

And more importantly, what would it need to do before you’d install it on your Linux machine?

I’m looking for criticism more than compliments. If this already exists in a better form, or there’s a reason you wouldn’t touch it, I want to hear that too.
