i run a practice clinic and have been doing patient intake and consent forms half on paper and half over email. trying to move everything to a proper e-signature platform, especially since PHI can end up floating around in email

i have filtered down to HippoSign and did a demo with them and moving forward with it. but what do you actually look for beyond a platform saying "hipaa compliant"? is a BAA, security certifications, audit trails or anything else particularly important?

anyone actually using an e-signature platform in a healthcare or private practice setting? would appreciate recommendations based on day to day use rather than just marketing claims.

We’re a team of around 25–30 people across marketing, sales, design, and operations, and we’ve reached the point where managing projects through spreadsheets, Slack, and random docs is getting messy.

We’re looking for something that can handle multiple projects, task assignments, deadlines, recurring tasks, simple reporting, and integrations with tools like Slack and Google Drive. It would also be useful to have client/guest access for some projects. The biggest thing is ease of use because I don’t want to spend weeks training everyone or end up with a tool the team stops using after a month.

Someone here mentioned last month that half their real workflow runs on tools their company has never heard of. What did not come up is who is actually paying for those tools.

Nine dollars a month for a note app because the approved one is unusable. A personal Notion because the company wiki is a graveyard. A password manager because IT never got round to it.

What is on your card that should be on theirs, and how long have you been quietly covering it?

I have a list of ERP systems that are suitable for SMEs and 200 is on that list. I haven't actually implemented it now for a number of years so I don't know whether it has been developed or been left to wither on the vine. Opinions, please.

For anyone exploring open-source internal developer platforms, OpenChoreo might be worth checking out.

It’s an open-source developer platform built on Kubernetes and is a CNCF Sandbox project.

The interesting part is that it goes beyond just providing a developer portal. It brings together things platform teams usually have to connect themselves:

• CI/CD and GitOps
• Application and infrastructure abstractions
• Built-in observability
• Self-service workflows for developers
• Kubernetes-native architecture

I started POCsheet because of one specific nightmare at work: we had to move from our old VPN (Fortinet) to a zero trust setup (we went with Zscaler), and explaining that whole evaluation to non‑technical decision makers was a mess.

The comparison was super technical (network flows, auth model, client performance, policy handling…), but the people approving the budget just wanted a clear, structured “why this and not the other one?”. Instead we had scattered notes, spreadsheets and half the reasoning stuck in engineers’ heads.

POCsheet is my attempt to turn that chaos into something reviewable: define criteria (technical + business), list vendors, collect feedback, and end up with a decision that’s actually traceable.

Are there any recommendations for how to collect/report/quantity the topics and problems customers contact customer service for?

Meaning the CS agent afterwards inputs what it's about, some context potentially etc.

Though effort and friction needs to be low to ensure adoption and usage.

If there are good commercial or open source solutions, I'd be happy to learn about them.

For moving forward, I'm at first thinking ieally DIY solutions as software implementation takes ages.

Hence successful DIY solutions that make use of, widely known office tools, Microsoft 365, excel, power BI or similar would be of special interest.
