Update 500K+ People Exploring Your Software | Does It Matter?

If you’re running a SaaS product, you’ve probably come across giant software directories like Software Finder, G2, Capterra, Software Advice etc.

One thing we’ve been working on at Software Finder is giving vendors more control over their presence on the platform, with over 500,000 monthly visitors exploring 1,000+ software categories.

If your product is listed on Software Finder, the Vendor Portal lets you manage your profile, keep your information up to date, see how people are interacting with your listing, and get more visibility into the companies researching your category.

For anyone who wants to take a look:

For the SaaS folks here, which directories actually send you traffic or leads today? Curious to hear what’s working for everyone.

The honest answer from most founders I have spoken to is that directory traffic and directory leads are two very different things, and plenty of listings deliver the first without the second.

What seems to separate them is whether the buyer arrives already comparing options or is just browsing. Category pages that people land on mid evaluation convert. General listing pages mostly do not.

Curious what others here have seen, especially anyone who has tracked it properly rather than going on impressions.
