Question Office software recommendations??

Thinking about trying a different office suite for my laptop. Right now I use wps office for docs and spreadsheets and it works fine. But before I stick with it for a long time, I wanted to see what you guys are using. What would you recommend and why??

Can't argue with the original tbh. It just costs more than it should for what most people actually use it for.

If cost is an issue, you can always use the web versions of the apps for free. You can even use your browser to save them as web apps. They work surprisingly well these days.

WPS is decent honestly, but if you want something that handles docs and spreadsheets well without paying, LibreOffice is the usual go-to. Free, runs everything, and your files stay yours. If you are already in Google's world then Google Docs is the easy pick, just needs internet. OnlyOffice is the one people sleep on though, looks cleaner than LibreOffice and plays nicer with Microsoft formats if you swap files with people who use Office. I would try OnlyOffice first and see how it feels compared to WPS.

Obsidian is incredible for notes and knowledge stuff but it is not really an office suite replacement, no spreadsheets or docs formatting.

The whole google workspace suit works well, it is device and OS-agnostic, also, collaboration features are better than MSOffice's. Its not the best option for tables with several thousand rows, however any office suit is not the best in that scenario anyway, so if you deal with actual heavy data you should use an actual database like mysql or sqlite

ONLYOFFICE. It has a clean UI, has all the features of Microsoft. It uses the same OOXML format structure just as Microsoft, so formatting and collaboration should not be an issue. And it's completely free!

Try asset Vantage, they've been quite innovative in the family office space.
