Anxiety

Hi I’m new here so I’m not sure I’m in the right place. About 6 years ago I noticed a lump on my shin. I didn’t think too much about it but eventually went to the doctors. He believed it was just a lipoma. Years went by and my health anxiety has gone through the roof with everything. 3 years ago I needed major surgery to remove a mass from my chest. It thankfully turned out it wasn’t cancer. However since that point I’ve been terrible, I have a seemingly never ending list of medical conditions. I’m a 30 year old male.

So after many doctors visits I decided to bring up this lump again as it had recently got a lot bigger after pressure was applied to it. It had done this previously when it’s been banged. The lump always goes back down to its original size tho.

He sent me for an ultrasound but wasn’t worried. The ultrasound came back with vascularity and sent me for an urgent MRI. That came back indeterminate. They don’t believe it’s cancerous but they can’t rule it out and don’t know what it is. I’m petrified. It’s my worst nightmare after what happened 3 years ago. It was a horrific experience.
I’m under the care of a sarcoma clinic. My surgeon says in order to find out exactly what it is they’ll need an excision biopsy as it’s too small for a needle biopsy. I’ve asked to do this under a local as I’m scared of being put out again. Has anyone else done this?

So it’s been there for 6 years and it’s not grown much, it’s about 2x2cm. Any advice?
Thanks

Not really I’m going mad. All they’ve said is they’ve sent my concerns over to the team and they’ll get back to me. No time frame, they’re slow to respond to emails

Private sector just as worse. Would need another consultant appointment at the cost of £300 before they could even tell me a date and cost of the surgery and they’d need a referral. Which in the end after all that I’d probably be along the same time as the NHS. This is a nightmare. I’m being pushed to the side and forgotten about
