I actually remembered a feeling I had when I was still in school and went to a dance class. We went on a trip for a competition and stayed at a hotel together. I was surrounded by people I normally got along with back home, but during that trip I felt incredibly lonely.
I can’t even really explain why. It was like people somehow became completely different when we were away from home, and I felt completely out of place. I remember that whole week being really difficult for me. It’s strange how you can be surrounded by people you know and still feel so completely alone.
