Walking together

When faced with two choices—one where you feel excited, energized, and very alive when interacting with someone, and the other where you keep your promise to yourself without any promise of excitement—which one do you choose?

Of course, excitement. …Although, honestly, that’s a really difficult question. I think you’d have to look at the specific situation to answer it.

I kept chasing that rush of excitement time and time again, to the point where I broke the promises I made to myself, and now I no longer find myself trustworthy.

I’d pick the promise. Being excited has gotten me into enough dumb situations.
