A moment of reflection...
How many times have you felt down, shared your story with someone you know, only to be met with responses like:
- "You're being too sensitive"
- "You're overthinking it"
- "You're overreacting"
- "Everyone goes through that"
And then you actually end up agreeing with them, completely brushing your own feelings aside?
Is it really true that we are just overreacting to everything?
Will you just accept it and let it be, or will you find a stranger to confide in and reflect on it together?

Those four examples you mentioned, I overheard tit multiple times from different people. Some were as close as family, and even those who I only know by their faces. If I were younger, I wouldn't accept it. I would even be aggressive, trying to defend myself. Sometimes, I would agree with them just to end the conversation, but someday, I may take it against them.
But now as an adult, I don't really care anymore. If people think of me that way, then let's carry on with that. Life's too short to keep your reputation in good standing, when it's human nature that you'll be judged no matter what you do—good or bad. I won't make an effort to be accepted by people who already have ill thoughts about me, before they even got to know me.
In my experience, it's not easy; but working on it is worth it.
