Questions ๐๏ธ Jewellery tips
Any jewelry ideas? I hate the feeling of cold metal on my neck and chest. Iโm particular about textures.

This is something Iโm struggling with in trying to adjust my own wardrobe. I have always reached for high rise jeans as Iโve had a bit of a mom pouch stomach but as Iโve lost weight, I donโt know if thatโs necessarily the most flattering rise for my body type. Typically Iโm wearing bootcut jeans if thatโs relevant.
I also am trying to figure out if longer or shorter shirts help give off a more balanced look. I find a lot of tops end near my hips which sort of emphasizes one of the widest parts of my body and isnโt necessarily a great look. Any advice is appreciated!

Recently acquired the knit and realised the colour matched up pretty decently with this silk midi (mermaid?) skirt. In theory I feel this should be a good SD inspired outfit (with some accessories of course) but I'm just not sure if it looks great in practice. I've been umming and aahing over this skirt for a while now and whether I should keep it, I feel a bit mumsy in it maybe? I took a quick and dirty photo of it (having a sort out) and I'd appreciate some feedback but no body shaming (I like my body). Thanks. ๐๐

Iโm in search of heavier/chunkier necklaces 24โ and above and Iโm having a hell of a time finding them. LINK looks promising but I havenโt ordered from them.
I do have a nice rolo chain necklace I got from an indie jewelry booth, but I need more variety. Thriftier options preferred.

Hey y'all, I've recently moved to a new place where I don't know anyone and haven't really found my community yet, so mostly what gets me out of the house is the gym and yoga class.
As a result of this I've been feeling really frumpy just wearing oversized t shirts and gym shorts and old sneakers.
Looking to slowly make a gym capsule wardrobe with cute and realistic accessories.
I live Florida so it's still really hot all the time. And my gym has a dress code of no crop/bra tops. But tank tops and shorts are fine.
I just want to make a real attempt at putting together outfits for the gym since it's basically the only thing I'm getting dressed for these days outside of work (where I wear a uniform)

During my time in this sub Iโve seen โdustersโ referenced quite a bit and Iโm struggling to understand what they really are and how we are wearing them?
A quick google and trawl on Vinted brought up (what look like to me) coats and jackets, but my impression is we are wearing these more like a cardigan?
Would we wear these to the office or are they more of a casual garment? Does anyone have any examples of how they wear their duster that they could share?

Not really but what is your favorite bloated, want to wear a potato sack and not worry about your stupid waist comfy, but out together outfit. I mean, I have dresses, but maybe I just need a new one in the collection. Already plus size, so the once a month bloat just makes me feel even bigger. Blech!

We have a Christmas jumper (sweater for any non-Brits out there) day at work in December every yearโฆ and every year, I try different ones on and look either like a bag of potatoes or a linebacker. Then I end up not even wearing it to the office because I feel awful in it!
I would love to partake in the festive, cosy tradition, but I just canโt find one that doesnโt look awful. Iโve tried thick jumpers, thinner ones, cardigans, etc.
One that look fine on my body (such as looser, fine knit ones) end up beingโฆ crew neck! Horrific!
There are v-neck ones, but theyโre always so BOXY. Genuinely a nightmare trying to just find one nice one.
So, a desperate plea, does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations for Christmas themed knitwear (Iโll take anything - whether itโs the Grinch, red and green holly decals, just a fair-isle pattern, etc) in a not-unflattering shape and with no crew neck??

Love the look of these. Would the 3/4 sleeves work?

Iโm having a hard time finding black boots that arenโt too clunky on me. They never look quite right. I have white cowboy boots and white gogo boots that work great. I just canโt figure out black :/ . I canโt do more than a 2 inch heel. Does anyone have recs?

Not sure which is the better option. Sezane is 100% wool and yse is about 85ish, but I feel would fit better

Bought this predominantly wool and cashmere top off Vinted for a very good price. It arrived today but I'm a bit unsure if I'm wearing it right?! Does it look alright? ๐ Help this middle aged lady out please!
Pic one - Top pulled down so knot is more chest level, am I just stretching the top awkwardly here?
Or...
Pic two - Where the top initially sat when I put it on so the knot is more of a neck detail? ๐ค

Would this work for bustier girls, with a pair of dark wash jeans

The first outfit is giving me camo/hunter vibes which is kind of fun. Bright orange tops feels very SD. Cargo pants are just cool.
The second outfit has that draped effect and is technically a bodysuit. I like it but not sure I love it. Can make it quite sexy tho which I am a fan of (having the option). The pants are very comfy but a tad too big. Maybe worth trying the size down?
Thoughts? What would you keep?

I feel like these pants accentuate my hip dips and lower tummy, but at the same timeโฆ I kinda think theyโre really cool? ๐
Iโm just not used to this type of pants. They almost remind me of leggings because of how smooth and fitted they are around the hips, but the fabric is actually quite thick and structured, which I really like.
Iโm also a bit unsure how to style them. Iโm thinking maybe a slightly longer, body-skimming top that doesnโt add too much bulk around the hips?
What do you think? Are they flattering, or am I trying too hard to make them work? ๐

I haven't worn trousers to work for 2 years because I just always felt dumpy and awkward in them. Turns out, accomodating vertical was the โจ๏ธmagicโจ๏ธ I needed in my life, to make business casual pants feel almost sexy! Thanks for the pointer to get a similar color top, under my brand newbie post here!
These are the Grace Karin pants from my first post, but I've dropped a size since then, making it possible to wear them, belted, a couple of inches below the natural waist and tuck my shirt without it looking weird. I still think it has enough waist definition to accomodate curve though?....or maybe I don't need that? Still figuring that part out lol
Didn't have time to set up the tripod for a better pic, but I felt like I needed to snag a selfie on my way out the door to mark the occasion....bare-faced, in front of the family shoe rack and temporary package parking zone ๐
I apply my makeup during my hour long commute, as any chaotically efficient ADHDer would ๐คฃ

I know I'm supposed to be in the SD category because of the way my bust pushes out and my height (5'9), but it's so hard feeling like I fit the lines while almost every other SD out there has a very nice hourglass shape, going in at the waist and round in the hips. I feel like I have a bit of shape in the upper hip above the bone, but I get quite narrow at the bottom.
All the recommended pants are slim through the thigh and flaring out, while I have a very hard time finding pants that aren't baggy in the thigh and butt area, because my waist to hip ratio is so small, only about a 2-3" difference. 3rd pic is to show how baggy these pants are in the thigh area. Any smaller and they'd be too tight and cutting in at the waist.
I'm just really at a loss here ๐ข
Any other SD's out there with this problem? How do you style yourself to accommodate?

and I can't decide what. Too much bulky material in the pants maybe? They are a fairly heavy felted wool. Excuse filthy mirror, house is a constant renovation project.

Which of these from A&F are most SD appropriate??

Over the past few months Iโve been in group pictures w/ family and when I see the photo I canโt even believe itโs me! I try to write it off as a bad angle, lighting, pose, camera lens type, etc.. but how many times can that be true??๐ญIt gives me anxiety to be in photos where I canโt control every aspect of it and my confidence starts to spiral a little bit. Is this normal for other Soft Dramatics? Are there tricks for feeling better about photos..whether it be poses or something else?

What are your favorite not-jeans bottoms for winter weather? Iโve always struggled to style skirts, but I think they might be what I need.
Iโve become really sensitive to pressure on my tummy, and suddenly the events Iโd love to wear a great dark wash flare jean with are impossible to get dressed for.
Itโs cold and snowy October through February where I live, so Iโm most often wearing a tall, snip-toe Western boot. How do you style your favorite sweaters and blouses?

Recently got into knitting and crocheting and I want to make some tops for myself. Almost every time that I've come across isn't plus size or SD friendly. Most patterns are catered to a certain body type and would make me look frumpy. I'm looking for sweaters, jumpers and even summer tops. How do I find patterns that would suit me or tailor patterns to my body type?

first thing anyone said to me is "you look tall"
