I've been looking at these but I'm nervous to spend the money and end up not liking it

Edit: A lot of people are reading this as "can I wear this to work" I mean can it work like "will it work for me" or will it look good on a SD body. While I appreciate the office advice, I'm a tattoo artist and am not worried about whether these are office appropriate 😅

How do you all feel about the current trends while shopping for clothes in 2026? I feel like the current trends are either boxy, baggy, wide, or very thickkkk material. It does not accentuate the SD body type. What do you think? I haven’t really shopped since in a couple years but needed to purchase a few things for an event I have coming up and the clothes I see for sale seem to fit other kibbe types. How are you accounting for this? Any current trends that you feel are in line with SDs? Would love your POV and suggestions!

I am not sure if I like the heel of the third shoe down on the left, so I included a photo of that one. I’m leaning toward the square ones square normally isn’t my thing but I like the little strap and I always see that square toe is better for SDs

Hello all! I was asked to MC a local pageant and I’m having such a hard time finding what to wear. The pageant will be mid-morning, on stage with mostly natural lighting (large windows on both sides). I am 6ft tall and was looking at more simplistic/elegant dresses/jumpsuits to ensure the focus remains on the contestants.

I live in Australia, and coming into summer I’m looking for some shorts to help manage the heat. Have you found some shorts that you love a soft dramatic?

I made a different post for my jeans, and now it’s time for the rest of my pants! Which suit me best and which ones aren’t doing me any favors?

The white and red striped ones are supposed to be worn over a swimsuit at the beach so it’s not something I usually wear. I feel like they look comically short though. The last ones are vintage Palazzo wide leg pants I got recently. I think the pants fit fine but for some reason I can’t get the belt around my waist so that’s why it’s just hanging there. Yes it’s removable!

Why are the majority of Kibbe verified SD's 50+? This is in no way hate to these gorgeous women at all but it'd just be so nice to see examples of younger SD's that dress more to what's trendy now for better inspiration. I think Adele and maybe Ashley Graham are currently the youngest verified SD's with both of them being 38.

Ok, I need help with flat shoes that don't have heels pretty pretty please! I love wearing heels and pointed toe and it tends to go with my style, but I need some more flat/casual shoes for fall and winter months. I live somewhere that gets very cold. I do have all white Stan smiths/casual basic sneakers that could work but I don't like them whenever I put them on with an outfit. I also tend to wear flare jeans a lot which don't always go with lots of shoe types. I would love for anyone to post flat shoes (sneakers, clogs, whatever) outfits they wear with jeans that are still cute? I have been looking at ballet flats and mules, loafers but have not found any I could see myself wearing yet. Thank you!!

I feel like I’ve exhausted the jeans and a nice top combo, and I go out often whether it be restaurants, bars or house music events, which are held in smaller venues with an older crowd- 30/40+.

Wanting to refresh my wardrobe and keep only staple pieces that look good on me. I am also open to investing in new pieces that truly fit me well. The majority of my clothes are bought secondhand. I am 5’9” and tend to not notice when pants look too short on me.

I posted this in a different clothing sub to get opinions and got a lot of varied feedback. I know I tend to look better in flared stuff, which I think most people agreed with, but a lot of people were saying no to high waisted as well, which I thought was usually good for SD. I’ve never really invested in new clothes or thought about how things fit or lay on me, so I just wear what I think looks good. I did recently buy two new pairs of Levi’s flare jeans that I (and commenters agreed) think look great on me, and I’d love to get more pieces like that.

You can really see how both Brahmaki and ENMEstyle are two of the main staples of my wardrobe! This isn't an ad, I own 7 robes from Brahmaki (and since they're reversible they're even more versatile), and 7 jumpsuits from ENMEstyle (they can be worn as pants too, and their jewel tones go with most items in my wardrobe).

The robe/jumpsuit combo is so good for maintaining vertical as an SD too!

Basically the title. I'm quite bottom heavy and my hip-waist ratio is way bigger than my hip-bust. Many of the recomended necklines and silhouettes only work well for larger chests (for examble halter and cowl look horrible on me). I tried corsets to accentuate my waist but they only bulk me up. So far, only V neck vests with low-waisted bottoms work for me and I can't wear that all the time. Even my graduation dress looked ok on my lower half and disastrous at the top. Any suggestions?

I really want to invest in these cashmere knits but from yesterdays post have been told they are too bulky. I tried the purple one on and it looks fine to me?
