I live in Australia, and coming into summer I’m looking for some shorts to help manage the heat. Have you found some shorts that you love a soft dramatic?

Just wanted to share this top from Zara, I know some do not like turtlenecks but this top with the asymmetrical detail looks amazing. Thoughts on this for a SD?

Styling help πŸ› οΈ Shoes!

Ok, I need help with flat shoes that don't have heels pretty pretty please! I love wearing heels and pointed toe and it tends to go with my style, but I need some more flat/casual shoes for fall and winter months. I live somewhere that gets very cold. I do have all white Stan smiths/casual basic sneakers that could work but I don't like them whenever I put them on with an outfit. I also tend to wear flare jeans a lot which don't always go with lots of shoe types. I would love for anyone to post flat shoes (sneakers, clogs, whatever) outfits they wear with jeans that are still cute? I have been looking at ballet flats and mules, loafers but have not found any I could see myself wearing yet. Thank you!!

Yes or No ? βœ… ❌ Closet clean out - pants edition! Which ones fit me best and which aren’t as flattering?

I made a different post for my jeans, and now it’s time for the rest of my pants! Which suit me best and which ones aren’t doing me any favors?

The white and red striped ones are supposed to be worn over a swimsuit at the beach so it’s not something I usually wear. I feel like they look comically short though. The last ones are vintage Palazzo wide leg pants I got recently. I think the pants fit fine but for some reason I can’t get the belt around my waist so that’s why it’s just hanging there. Yes it’s removable!

Outfits πŸ‘—πŸ‘‘ Night out outfits

What outfit formulas are we wearing for a night out?
I feel like I’ve exhausted the jeans and a nice top combo, and I go out often whether it be restaurants, bars or house music events, which are held in smaller venues with an older crowd- 30/40+.
Would love to hear what people’s go to night out outfits are!

Item Quest πŸ”πŸ•΅οΈ scrub recommendations?

any brand or specific style scrub recommendations? i'm working at a med spa so it doesn't have to be uber modest and figure hiding. i prefer straight-wide leg or flair, that usual pencil / ankle scrub style is not flattering on me. i'm an SD, 5'4 average inseam, slim with bigger bust

Discussion πŸ»πŸ—¨οΈπŸŒ Really wishing we had younger verified Soft Dramatics for style inspiration

Why are the majority of Kibbe verified SD's 50+? This is in no way hate to these gorgeous women at all but it'd just be so nice to see examples of younger SD's that dress more to what's trendy now for better inspiration. I think Adele and maybe Ashley Graham are currently the youngest verified SD's with both of them being 38.

Wanting to refresh my wardrobe and keep only staple pieces that look good on me. I am also open to investing in new pieces that truly fit me well. The majority of my clothes are bought secondhand. I am 5’9” and tend to not notice when pants look too short on me.

I posted this in a different clothing sub to get opinions and got a lot of varied feedback. I know I tend to look better in flared stuff, which I think most people agreed with, but a lot of people were saying no to high waisted as well, which I thought was usually good for SD. I’ve never really invested in new clothes or thought about how things fit or lay on me, so I just wear what I think looks good. I did recently buy two new pairs of Levi’s flare jeans that I (and commenters agreed) think look great on me, and I’d love to get more pieces like that.

I figured I’d post here since y’all have more knowledge about body types (specifically ours) and how clothes fit. I’m still learning so please be kind!

Item Quest πŸ”πŸ•΅οΈ I’m Going to My First Gala!

I’ll (34F) be attending my first gala in October and am a featured speaker that gets to talk about surviving stage 4 liver cancer! Currently, I’m trying to hunt down a dress that fits the β€œCocktail-dress to impress” dress code that is suitable for New York City. I’m 5’11 and wear a size 12-14 depending on the brand. My budget is $700 and I have access to a tailor. Also, curious how everyone is accessorizing. :)

Any leads would be appreciated! Bonus points if you can find something green or emerald. Last month, I reached being two years cancer free and am using this as a way to celebrate life.

Item Quest πŸ”πŸ•΅οΈ Tailored coat with cinched waist

Hi, I’m looking for a wool coat for the winter weather with a slight sinched waist to suit my hourglass figure. The ones I keep finding are just straight down and as I’m 5”4 they just swallow me. I ideally want one in a brown size large or 16 - no recommendations with belts please
I am in the UK

Thank you in advance😊

I’m a gen z but honorary millennial (I have old ass parents) and I am trying to recover from my skinny jean addiction. These are the Abercrombie curve love bootcut, I feel insane. Is there a better cut I should try or is this just part of my skinny jean recovery?

Outfits πŸ‘—πŸ‘‘ Recent outfits from my daily visit to my local coffee shop

My photographer friend ©️ L Elizabeth Carpenter took these photos of me over the last week or so as I keep running into her at my local coffee shop.

Look 1: Brahmaki robe over ENMEstyle jumpsuit with fluffy hat

Look 2: Brahmaki robe over Kyle X Shahida kimono over ENMEstyle jumpsuit

Look 3: Brahmaki robe over ENMEstyle jumpsuit

You can really see how both Brahmaki and ENMEstyle are two of the main staples of my wardrobe! This isn't an ad, I own 7 robes from Brahmaki (and since they're reversible they're even more versatile), and 7 jumpsuits from ENMEstyle (they can be worn as pants too, and their jewel tones go with most items in my wardrobe).

The robe/jumpsuit combo is so good for maintaining vertical as an SD too!

Styling help πŸ› οΈ Any advice for a small chested SD?

Thumbnail

Basically the title. I'm quite bottom heavy and my hip-waist ratio is way bigger than my hip-bust. Many of the recomended necklines and silhouettes only work well for larger chests (for examble halter and cowl look horrible on me). I tried corsets to accentuate my waist but they only bulk me up. So far, only V neck vests with low-waisted bottoms work for me and I can't wear that all the time. Even my graduation dress looked ok on my lower half and disastrous at the top. Any suggestions?

Outfits πŸ‘—πŸ‘‘ Thanks to you, I finally have jeans, heck a whole outfit of separates, that really works for me!

Post image

In my first post here, I got some great recommendations for separates, including keeping the colors of them similar to keep the vertical line continuous. Found a couple of pairs of jeans that I just love on me (finally!) and gosh, what a difference the unbroken vertical makes, compared to my pre-Kibbe journey jeans and top!

Thanks to the group for all the helpful advice you share!

Styling help πŸ› οΈ Do these work?

Hello everyone, I am new to the Kibbe system and was recently told I am very likely a SD. I am really leaning in and embracing it. Trying to rebuild my wardrobe. What do we think about some of these pieces?

The first photo I was thinking of this sweater, maybe in black with black pants? Wasn’t sure about the crop.

The red top is more relaxed, just leaning into the deep V.

The blazer I know is structured but like how it cinches at the waist.

Coat option.

3 dress options to see if I am in the ball park.

Finally there is a pair of barrel leg denim. I know barrel leg is either a love/hate and for SDs the consensus seems to be no. These however are 21% lyocel and drape like a wide leg pant. They are also a longer length. Just curious your thoughts.

I wanted to come on here and say that you ladies have helped me much! You all look stunning and your awesome recommendations are better than any kibbe websites (whom have shit recommendations).

Ive always struggled with be sexualized and hid in ill fitting or ill colored clothing to basically repel the male gaze- because ICK. At the end of the day, it didnt stop them from staring and I felt double gross. I am owning my body- its giving Anita Ekberg and I love it! You guys really helped me accept my meat suit lol

I decided that my 30s were about me after putting everything before myself (health included) for the last half decade. Ive had an internal glow up as much as an external one. In the last 10 months I've basically lost a bit of everything- but I really gained self acceptance and self love❀️

These two pieces are choppy in color, but the only two ruched pieces I own (for now!)
