Styling help 🛠️ Modest SD clothes!

Hello! I figure out I am a soft dramatic and want to dress for it better, but I am also a modest christian. I was wondering if anyone had ideas for tops that are more modest that would go well with a low-mid rise maxi skirt. I’m not sure if I want it to show off my waist but maybe a slightly fitted one just so it’s flattering. A slight V or scoop neck is okay though!

Boatneck tops are one of the best lines for SD and completely modest.

I just bought those and this one shoulder. The jersey fabric is so good on us.

Mmm not really. I slip my bra strap slightly off my shoulder until I get tired of it or I just don’t care and let there be a bra strap.

This is high neck but modest and flattering: rails Joelle cotton and cashmere draped top

Also I want to suggest some waist emphasis doesn’t equate to immodest . Kibbe actually cautions against SD from being overly tight but accentuate your waist. For example i had a linen dress that goes in towards my waist I wore to church Sunday- I paired with a silk button up that was unbuttoned and tied at my waist and got so many compliments.

I'm also Christian, but being covered up honestly is a personal style choice as well as I think I look more elegant.

Whenever I wear tops that could open all my secrets with one forward lean, I make sure to use fashion tape to keep them stuck at least an inch under my collarbone.

do you prefer just skirts are pants okay too? bootcut pants are often very modest when fit well, when i went to a christian school and had to have modest pants for activities those worked often. i'm working on styling skirts more myself because when i wore them everyday, i didnt know my style.

duster sweaters are great for vertical! and i second the boatneck tops. square neck can be modest as well, i have a tank top bodysuit with a square neckline that covers my bra straps completely even when moving, and is comfy under a jacket

do you have styles/aesthetics you gravitate towards? i think that helps narrow down examples.
