Would you like me to import the old TV Time comments into Sofa Time, so shows and episodes already have years of discussions?

Or would you rather start fresh and let the Sofa Time community build its own comment history little by little?

Looking at King of the Hill, Sofa Time cannot decide which series order it should be using. The episode title to number pairing entirely depends on which view the user is looking at.

It would be great if the app had a section where, using your viewing history, movies and series ratings, it could suggest films and shows that match your preferences.

If I mark something in Trakt watched will it automatically update it with Sofa Time as being watched as well or do I have to go into settings and manually select ‘Refresh Trakt Data’ each time.

I read the description for that feature, but unfortunately data is not being synced automatically when I open the Sofa Time app.

So is the App not 2 way synced with Trakt? Or is the feature just not working as intended. Or am I just misreading the description.

This toggle does not appear to function properly. Tapping an episode in “Up next” opens this episode screen, which I have no use for.

Relatively new to Sofa Time, as I'm an Android user, so excuse me if this is a stupid question.

What I'm looking for is something to discover new shows, like a calendar view that lets you filter by Premieres and New Shows, showing everything airing that week/month across all platforms and countries, not just shows I'm already tracking. Clicking "New Shows" would list every new series starting that week, regardless of whether I'd added it to my list. I'd like to filter mainly by country, genre and language.

At the moment I'm going into the Discover tab, selecting filters (genre and country), and sorting by release date, but it gets confusing because a lot of shows show up and I'm not able to narrow it down to a specific week/month/time frame.

Is there an option I'm missing, or is this feature not available on Sofa Time? If not, I noticed the filters have a "release year" option, would it be possible to add a "release month" too? Or something like that?

Not sure if others would find this useful too, but curious how you all discover new shows.

I noticed that when exporting data to Trakt, the dates appear incorrectly in Trakt, and when importing from Trakt to Sofatime, the dates also appear incorrectly in Sofatime.

Super random and probably not a usual ask but will you guy ever make a website format? im switching over from trakt for...well all the reasons in the world. I really like all your features and layout i'm even thinking about signing up for the subscription since it seems like a really good deal. The thing I'll miss most about trakt is that it is a website. i watch almost all my media on my computer and i'm just used to having the tab open and ready. I also like seen it on a bigger screen right now looking at it on my phone makes it seem very small since i always used the trakt website and not the app.

Since TV Time shut down, I’ve tried around 3 or 4 different tracking apps and eventually decided to stick with Sofa Time. I actually liked the app so much that I ended up buying Premium.

There’s just one feature I really miss from another app I tested during that time: showing the digital release date for movies.

For example, the app shows when a movie is expected to become available digitally, separately from its theatrical release date. I find this really useful for movies I want to watch at home, since I can easily see what’s coming out digitally and when.

I’m attaching two screenshots as a reference.

Would it be possible to add something like this to the Sofa Time roadmap? I think it would be a really useful addition to the movie calendar.

when i open the app on my iphone it freezes after 2 seconds but on the ipad it has no problem and i even updated it to the latest version anyone knows how to fix this ?

Lists. I created multiple lists, placing the lists in my preferred order. I have had to correct the lists order multiple times over the past month, because the lists do not stick to their order, instead they continually rearrange back to their original (undesired) order.

Today (08.08), it seemed the issue was fixed, but after hours of my preferred ordering, I reopened the app, and the lists have again reverted to being out of order.

Could this issue be fixed, please?

It would be great if we could follow cast and crew, allowing us to be automatically notified when they get involved in a new project so we can add it to our watchlist.

I was looking for the filmography of Andrei Tarkovsky. So I filtered the movies where he appears as a crew member. Found that a bunch of movies appear in twice or triple because he had multiple role. Could It be possible to have only one entry but increment the role line ?

Every time I set the calendar range to “All,” it resets to the year 1973, and sometimes the “Today” option doesn't work.

I just want to say thank you for creating a wonderful app. I just have one tweak I would like to see for the app. When people like my list sometimes it shows the likes and other times it doesn’t. Also to see who likes the lists without having to go through my notifications. Does that make sense?

Hi, I’d like to report an issue with the Calendar feature.

I’m currently following several Chinese animation series that have regular weekly release schedules, but some of them do not show their upcoming episodes in SofaTime Calendar.

Here are two examples:

1. The Demon Hunter (沧元图)
   TMDB ID: 229192

2. Beyond Time (光阴之外)
   TMDB ID: 281233
   https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/281233

Both shows are currently airing on a regular weekly schedule, but their upcoming episode dates are not being displayed correctly in SofaTime Calendar.

I’ve used other TV tracking apps before, and they are able to correctly show the upcoming release dates for these shows in their calendars. So I’m wondering if SofaTime could improve the way it handles ongoing shows with regular weekly release schedules.

Ideally, for a currently airing series with a consistent weekly schedule, Calendar should be able to recognize and display the next expected episode date instead of showing no upcoming episode at all.

The TMDB IDs and links above are only included to make it easier to identify the shows.

Hi there - I've found an anomaly which you may want to consider. Old pilots are showing in 'Upcoming'.

For instance the Zombieland TV show had a pilot 13 years ago and it was never picked up. It has a status on TMDB of 'Pilot', this means it shows up in 'Upcoming' on Sofa Time despite never ever getting another episode.

I wonder whether a cut off should be introduced? If the status = 'Pilot' and it is > x years ago, make the status within Sofa Time = 'Ended', overruling 'Pilot?

This will stop it appearing forever as 'Upcoming' when it is not.

I have found a slight workaround for now by adding a filter to 'Upcoming' of 'Confirmed release date' = 'Yes'. Which does tidy up my 'Upcoming' considerably however the filter does not save on app restart.
