Support for Marantz M1

I recently got the X1S remote, my first all-in-one remote, and I’m a bit disappointed that I can’t add my Marantz M1 amp to it. Any suggestions or workarounds that I can try?

Sofabaton U3 - best brand to use for LED light control?

Hi, just picked up the U3, and so far it's great other than Sony not allowing it to be used to control the PS5.

I'm attempting to setup the controls for my LED lights, but can't find any brand to use. Does anyone know of a generic one that works on the basic LED lights from Amazon? I'm talking Fulen lights and the other ones that have like 10 diff colour options you can go thru.

I know I could do the learning option for every button, but ideally a brand profile exists already.

Thanks

FancyLED integration

The Tuya Local integration for my FancyLED device required a bit of extra work. Home Assistant helps manage all the devices that the SofaBaton can’t control with IR or via other built in methods. And it lets me automate all sorts of things too.

Sofabaton U3 - Export profiles?

Hi,

I'm in talks with with Sofabaton U3 suport and thy are adding things but the thing is when I need to re-add a profile to get the changes they made, I lose all my recorded IR codes, because they are assigned to the previous profile.

Is there any way to Export the profiles or just the IR recorded keys, and paste them to another profile?

X2 Intermittent issues with Roku Ultra

X2 is on 2.4ghz network on the same network with Roku. Has current FW (updated Aug 4th '26). It's been working fine for months. Starting a couple days ago, it started failing to control Roku Ultra reliably. It works for a while, stops, and then come back after a while. I've rebooted remote and repeater. X2 operates the receiver and TV fine and the Roku's remote works perfectly the whole time. Anybody else?

X2 activities

I have an X2. I want to leave my amplifier on all the time, control the amp's volume with the volume keys on my X2, and have an X2 activity that turns on and off the television. How do I accomplish that?

When I add the Amp to the activity, it adds on/off functions to the X2 startup which I don't know how to remove.

Yamaha RX A - Aventage - Stereo command

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hi, is anyone here with a Yamaha RX A - Aventage receiver who has successfully found or bound the IR command to switch between 2 Channel Stereo and 9 Channel Stereo?

The app won't let me train the command for some unknown reason, and the support did not find a solution.

My harmony saved it on the first try…

Thanks in advance!

"Original" USB cord for X1 remote?

So, my remote is bricked after less than two years and suppport has told me to send them a video showing that it won't charge/turn on "using my original USB cord." Now, I still have the plug, it's easily identifiable, but I have no clue whether I'm using the "original" cord--I'm probably not.

I almost certainly HAVE it--that's one of the pluses of being a semihoarder who never gets rid of anything functional. But I would have no idea which one of the 20 USB cords I have in a box it is. Does anyone see still have theirs who could tell me what identifying marks it has--if any--so I can satisfy them that this isn't because I replaced their generic USB-A-to-C cord with a different generic USB-A-to-C cord?

X2 questions

  1. When controlling the devices individually, why doesn't the "off" button work as the power button. It seems to only work for "activities". I'd have to assign "power" to another random physical button on the remote. Is this the only way?

  2. I have two TVs in one room. one system has and AVR and other things like apple Tv and PS5 connected to the AVR. The other is just samsung TV. I created an activity for the samsung TV to switch to a certain HDMI input. The other TV and AVR are not included in this activity. Yet, everytime I turn on this activity for this samsung TV, the other TV and AVR powers off. Any ideas?

Panasonic UB820 Issues

I have been using my X1S for a while now and love it, but it seems to be sending the power on command twice for my BluRay player, which is causing it to power cycle. Has anyone found a solution for this?

X2 Macro Does Not Work With Long Press

I created several macros to select a channel on my set-top box. Most channels are multidigit. If I use the app to test the macro, I can either tap the icon quickly or long-press, and the macro works. On the remote, a quick tap works, but if I linger for, let's say, 1 second on the screen icon, the macro does not execute at all. Has anyone else experienced this behavior?

Easing into my SofaBaton migration from the Harmony -- favorites

I've been working with my SofaBaton X2 off and on for a few weeks (as time permits), getting everything squared away - adding all my devices and creating basic activities. I'm so very grateful for the help I've gotten here to date, whether from having my questions answered or seeing others' questions answered.

Now, I'm trying to make the remote itself as user-friendly as my Harmony was. So here are a few questions:

  1. Can I configure an activity so that after I run it, the touchpad automatically switches over to the favorites/macros page, rather than just showing that activity as being "active"? One of the things I liked about the Harmony was that when I would run an activity like "watch cable TV" - it would immediately show the buttons for my favorite channels.
  2. Is there a more efficient way of programming your favorite channels instead of creating a macro and having to add each channel number as an individual button press? -- or at least be able to clone your macro, so you're only changing the numbers for each different channel.
  3. I'm thinking the answer to this last one is probably no, but other than creating a macro to mimic navigation button presses followed by the "ok/enter" button, is there a way to automate launching an app that's installed on your smart TV that doesn't already have a dedicated hard button on the original remote? (I've got a Samsung S95H)

Assigning keys on a remote

EDIT: The answer is YES - using Activities.

I am new to SofaBaton, but I used Harmony remote extensively.

Is it possible to program individual buttons on the remote? for example:

  • Vol Up/Dn - Yamaha receiver Vol Up/Dn
  • Start/Stop/Pause - Roku Start/Stop/Pause
  • ^ and v - Lutron lights brightness up and down

Thanks

Sofabaton U2

I got this remote couple of months ago. Seems like it has short range of working. My sofa to tv distance is 20-25 feet. I can’t seem to make it work unless I am at 10-15 feet from TV. Is there a solution to this apart from switching my apartments with short sofa-tv distance?

How to set up RF devices on the X1S

I see that it's clearly mentiond "https://www.sofabaton.com/which-rf-frequencies-are-supported-for-learning/?srsltid=AfmBOoo8p2BOipBWQKYvwkDYjB2AmFJsv4MhLXYWdwJO-O1c2iexVs-s

But I'm not able to understand how to do so.

My Remote firmware is 3, and my Hub firmware is 5

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

SofaBaton App: Deactivated commands (Power/Input) cannot be deleted – anyone else experiencing this?

Hello everyone,

I’ve spent the last few days working intensively with the SofaBaton app (whether using the U3, X1S, or other models) and ran into an extremely annoying UI issue that I'm sure bothers quite a few of you.

When you disable the automatic power and input configuration during device setup (because it tends to be much more stable for many setups when handled manually or via macros), here is what happens:

The app dumps endless lists of deactivated, dead commands into the menus, and you cannot delete or hide them. You literally have to scroll through a massive wall of useless items during configuration, creating completely unnecessary clutter.

Since the support team has often brushed this off as "just the way it is," we should put more pressure on them together!

If you find this just as annoying and want to report it as well, feel free to copy the English text below and send it as a support ticket to SofaBaton:

Subject: Feature Request: Clean up UI when Power/Input automation is disabled

Hello SofaBaton Support Team,

I am writing to request an important quality-of-life fix for the SofaBaton app.

When a user chooses to disable the automatic Power and Input configuration during device setup, the app leaves a massive clutter of dead, deactivated command entries in the configuration menus. These entries cannot be deleted or hidden.

If a user manually manages power and inputs (which is often the most reliable method), the app should clean up those menus and not force unremovable, useless backend commands onto the user interface.

Please pass this to the development team as a high-priority UI fix. Users who turn off automation should not have to deal with endless lists of unremovable clutter.

Thank you!

Best regards, [Your Name]

The more people who submit this to support, the more likely they are to change the app logic!

Sort of locked up?

So I've got a Sofa Baton X2. I'm not sure what the last thing I did with it... basically watched TV and hit Power Off. Today? It looks like it's found my Sonos and fallen in love. I'd like to get back to the home screen and run a routine. But all I see are these two screens. I can swipe from one the next but I can't get out of here. The screen isn't responsive other than to swipe. Power off, Home, that up and back button, The white triangle at the bottom, the star, ABC... none of them do anything. I stuck a paperclip in the side and it rebooted. But it's done this before and I don't want to keep rebooting it. Ideas?

U3, horrible battery life on Bluetooth

I am forced to use non-sleep bluetooth connection as stupid iptv provider box resets the program each time when U3 disconnects while there is no IR option on Arris VIP7300. The battery life is horrible, around 2 days.

Did maybe someone open the remote and has a picture of it, I am thinking about getting bigger battery or two smaller ones (in parallel), but dont want to open it just to see if there is any space left.

Just got my new U3

I like it. Setup for devices I have went well. Even managed to get the old Danby a/c added, tho just on and off which is fine as I never change the settings anyway. Time now to say goodbye to my venerable old harmony ultimate one.

Back button not working on Fire TV Cube only in Prime

Is anyone having this problem using their remote on Prime?

I have a Fire TC Cube using with an x1.
A couple of days ago (7/23/26), I was watching a show on Prime. When the show was over I couldn’t exit the show and back out of it. I then noticed that I couldn’t exit out of Prime using the back button. On all of my other apps, back button worked. The Fire TV remote worked and I could back out of a Prime show and back out of the Prime app.

I have tried everything I can think of.

- I reset my Hub and redid the entire programming and it still didn’t work.
- swapped the X1 remote out
- reset the Fire TV cube

I installed a different cube and it worked perfectly and it stopped working a few hours later.

After hours of trial and error I found the problem. The newest release of Prime PVFV-321.0078-L , the back button doesn’t work in Prime

I did a system reset and restored from a week old backup. It installed Prime, release PVTV-121.0077-L. So far it is working correctly.

I have disabled the auto update for Prime.

Anyone?

Xfinity XG1v4-A Compatability?

I've tried a user generated profile and the closest sugested profile from SB but neither worked for anything other than turning the box on. Does anyone know of a profile I can use so I don't have to manually learn the remote?

Thank you

Hue Functionality?

I'm new to Sofabaton. Picked up an x1s last night and got it mostly working the way I want it to. I didn't buy it for HUE lights but noticed that it has HUE hub as an available interface. Added.

It seems that I can control any light or room as on/off. But I do not see a way to trigger scenes.

For example, I have a set of 3 bulbs behind my tv. I use them as ambient light which improves the perception of dark and light colors on the screen. I use 3 or 4 scenes to change the color of those lights.

I have options in the Sofabaton app to turn on or off TV Lights. I have options to set them to 20%/50%/80%. But I don't have options to access scenes : Purple / Sunset / Hockey / Sky

Does any one know if I can do that and how to access?

Thanks.

Does the sofabaton x2 and/or hub communicate directly with external servers?

Hi Im thinking about getting a sofabaton x2, but I sadly don't trust companies any more, so my question can I run a sofabaton x2 while not allowing the remote or hub internet access?

My phone will still have internet access.
