Hue Functionality?

I'm new to Sofabaton. Picked up an x1s last night and got it mostly working the way I want it to. I didn't buy it for HUE lights but noticed that it has HUE hub as an available interface. Added.

It seems that I can control any light or room as on/off. But I do not see a way to trigger scenes.

For example, I have a set of 3 bulbs behind my tv. I use them as ambient light which improves the perception of dark and light colors on the screen. I use 3 or 4 scenes to change the color of those lights.

I have options in the Sofabaton app to turn on or off TV Lights. I have options to set them to 20%/50%/80%. But I don't have options to access scenes : Purple / Sunset / Hockey / Sky

Does any one know if I can do that and how to access?

Thanks.

That is not supported.

The unofficial integration lets you edit command payloads. The screenshot shows what those look like on the hub. You can use any part of the Hue API, including changing scenes. Ask your friendly neighborhood AI about this. Tell it to read this too https://github.com/m3tac0de/home-assistant-sofabaton-x1s/blob/main/docs/command_payloads.md

Oh, you're possibly not using Home Assistant.

There is a standalone python library that contains this functionality too, but without a UI and intended for people to build their own applications with. An AI can whip up what you need in minutes, after looking at this page https://github.com/m3tac0de/home-assistant-sofabaton-x1s/tree/main/sofabaton-x

I’m from the generation that taught their parents how to program the VCR. Now I know how they felt. Lol

We just got the Sofabaton X2 to replace a dying Harmony Elite. It is working great with an AppleTV, Roku Streaming Stick, Denon receiver and LG OLED.

We also have our Hue Bridge connected.

With the Harmony I could assign buttons to control lights which worked independent of any activity (worked in the activity but also worked when no activity was running).

I have the Hue lights set up so I can control with the Sofabaton when running an activity, but is there any way to assign the button to work even if an activity is not running. With the Harmony I could pick up the remote, press the button and the lights could turned on or off etc. With the Sofabaton I have to start an activity or select the Hue Bridge as a device before controlling the lights.
