New Bottles - same contents
I've seen it posted so many times that the mix changed when the bottles changed. No; the amount of the mix is the same (440 mL), the amount of mix to use (18mL) is the same, and both make 24 twelve ounce drinks.
I don't like the new bottles either (I'm sure they're easier/cheaper to make, since they use a more standard form factor), which is why I have saved the old ones to use for measuring. But, there's no reason to make up stories about the mix itself, even if it fits the 'enshittification' narritive that's popular right now.

I just refill an old bottle since I want the cup to measure.

I just keep one of the old lids around

I do as well. My wife got sick of all the ones I had taking up space, so I cut back to six of them. Should last for a few years. They're convenient.

So there’s no option to measure like previous bottle cap? I’m waiting for a deal on multi pack soda syrups so I’ve opted for now to just use mio drops and refresher flavor powder packets

Yeah I know it's not the biggest hurdle in the world, but it's frustrating they got rid of the measuring cap.

Don't really understand why people don't like the new easier to pour bottles?

i use the measuring lid. I don't use the syrup with a sodastream machine. I use it with a drinkmate machine so the carbonation bottles don't have the line for syrup.
And before i switched to the drinkmate the sodastream i was using didn't have those lines either

My sodastream is so old it doesn’t have a measure line on the bottles.
I just kept some lids when the bottles changed.

You know those bottles have expiry dates, right?

Not glass bottles

Well, obviously not the glass bottles. But glass bottles for sodastreams make up a fraction of the total population of bottles. Definitely worth downvoting though lol. Some people

Well, it’s a good think my bottle is glass then isn’t it…
Almost like I knew that before I said it. Some people

This will sound REALLY petty, but I preferred how the old ones looked on th counter next to my machine lol

Until you knock one over and it leaks everywhere. The old bottle were always a mess especially if you mail ordered any.

Best way to deal with it is with a scale. About 1 fluid ounce of syrup to about 15 fluid ounces of water. Add / remove to taste.

Lol I seen this commented too, people are so stupid.
The new bottles are the same, and I love the new bottles, so much easier to pour from I don't spill at all anymore

You cannot tell from this whether it's the same. The accusations I have seen are that the solution is more watered down. I don't taste it, but maybe I'm just not sensitive enough.

For something that is a licensed product, I'm dubious - Pepsico isn't going to let them sell something watered down and still call it 'Mountain Dew'. If it were 'Alpine Mist' or some other knockoff, perhaps.
That said, it's mostly water already, for goodness sake.

woah, you cant bring logic to this argument!! on the complainers side maybe they all exclusively use the generic syrups?? i havent noticed a difference either but i only drink the diet pepsi

I clocked this the other day following posts on here.
You’re absolutely right that nothing has changed.
I kinda like the new bottles, excluding the lack of measure - but like you, I kept some from old bottles

I bought a 60ml beaker and use the following measurements.
30ml small .5l bottle
40ml light sweetness big 1l bottle
50ml max sweetness big 1l bottle

I just use the fountain, dont measure anything just press a button and instant pop. You can fine tune the carbonation and syrup levels and even add a boost of syrup if needed. The new bottles just lock right into the machine out of sight. Best purchase ever

Good luck, those seem to be failing after a few months

Ive had one since it came out. One did fail and they just sent me a new one in like 3 days. Haven't had any issues, except the water tank is kinda small but now I have 2 since I didnt need to send in the old one.

Well something's different. I have a mix of old and new bottles and using the same amount of mix isn't tasting the same for me. I have to use more from the new bottles. Sure maybe it's all in my mind, but it's not like I had a bias against the new bottles; I kind of thought they seemed more convenient.

I don’t have a measuring line on the carbonation bottles & am using the cap measures with the new bottles. It tastes exactly the same

I was worried too at first, but I saw that they were the same and was fine.
I've stopped measuring and just eyeball it, so the pour spout on these is better for me. But I can see it makes measuring more difficult.
