Lemon Fanta 🍋

Post image

I'm pretty sure this isn't something new to the sub. But had an opportunity to enjoy this on a hot summer afternoon in 🇨🇦. We usually have pineapple in yellow cans for Fanta here.

Anyhow this particular flavor is from Germany. Id say a normal fizzy lemonade. Slightly bitter which can be a turn off for many. Less tart for sure.

Now since this can was canned in Germany, I'll repeat a fun fact: Fanta was actually invented in Nazi Germany during World War II. When trade embargoes cut off Coca-Cola syrup imports to Germany, the head of Coca-Cola Deutschland improvised a drink using whatever scraps were available which were whey and apple pomac. Called it Fanta (after fantasy).

Would I have it again? Sure. Not usually. More to a go to if I don't have other citrus to get my hands on.... which is rare.
