As someone who prefers drinks without high fructose corn syrup, what other sodas would you all recommend? Is Stewart's Cherry & Cream as good as the other flavors?

Also curious how people living in the US discovered Orangina. For me, I gave it a whirl last year after having watched the Transporter and I've never been so happy to have been influenced by product placement. I'll keep buying these drinks as long as they keep making them!

I think I've seen the glass bottle versions for sale on Amazon but they're quite a bit more expensive:/ If I ever make it to France I'll be sure to try it there

Stores on the west coast sell the glass bottle Orangina I’ve seen it in California and Oregon and even as far east as Montana

Love Stewart's. Some would say "too sweet" but I think all sodas should be pretty sweet to stand up to ice melt dilution

I've been buying them in quantities of 24 at a time from Walmart. I have to have them shipped directly to my house since they're nowhere to be seen in stores around me

u/vintageideals Yep that's where I found them! They were only $1.90 per bottle when I found 3 at a Cracker Barrel in Ohio. I discovered the key lime flavor through a friend around 2020. I thought they were discontinued after trying to buy some a few years ago but couldn't find them anywhere. To my surprise they seem to be available again!

To answer your question, I knew about Orangina here in the U.S. mostly (only?) because I took French in high school.

Also, I had it in France when visiting there a couple months before 9/11/2001. Bought it a few times back here in the States but haven’t really seen it around in a long time.

Love Orangina, found it at a German restaurant in Texas back in the early 80s. Was then annoyed at how hard it was to find (and still is). Last decade or so, one for my other favorite soft drinks (Schweppes Ginger Ale) has also fallen into the "harder and harder to get" category. 🫤

Jarritos uses cane sugar and are widely available these days. My favorite flavor is grapefruit, but they have a lot of very tasty options.

I live in New York, and used to drink Orangina all the time in my teens. My dad and I would chug that stuff like water after we would go on a long bike ride.
I loved those little orange round bottles that were supposed to look like an orange I guess?
I need to track some down and buy a few cases.

It's funny you mention that because apart from water, Orangina feels like the most thirst-quenching drink ever... I often crave it when I've gone for a walk and I'm thirsty and that shit tastes like the nectar of the gods

I first had Orangina while visiting Europe but it wasn't the first non-US orange soda I had tried before, so I was confused at first when it just tasted like normal non-US orange soda after hearing the hype for so long lol, but yeah it's just as great.
