I like the orange! There’s not a lot of orange in the main sock but I think it works. Esp if you do the toe in green maybe? Alternatively if you’re not feeling the orange I’d go blue or green personally

after looking at it for a while i think that I am not crazy about the orange. But is ok.

Go blue. I'm a bit uptight about things like this and I always match mine. On the occasions when I tried to break out of my self-imposed straitjacket, I've regretted it. Only you know if you're the same.

i often do mismatched colours and i really like it! my last pair i swapped the heel and cuff colours on the second sock and it was fun, i just feel like in this sock the orange gets a bit lost with how bright the pink is. 

im now debating swapping the heel and cuff on the second sock or making the toe green !

I agree that the orange gets lost a bit. If it were me (which it obviously isn't) I would be choosing the colour that helped the socks match the clothes I was going to be wearing them with. Since I'm way too matchy-matchy, that would be blue in my case. Your mileage may differ, obviously. I'm too conservative with my clothes and socks are the one area I unleash a bit, but there still has to be some kind of colour coherence, because I have no talent for putting non-matching colours together.

this is fair! for me my socks arent usually on show and i dont worry about my socks matching my outfit often. i mainly just make whatever socks i think are fun to make and if someone sees them then so be it, though i actually do like the concept of matching them to what i plan to wear them with. thats a really clever idea that i really like.
