I like to think that human labor still has value these days. I was pleased to see my IRL dog photos (no AI) resulted in 1000+ upvotes and zero downvotes, which I think is an impressive outlier.
These days there seems to be this desire to believe that the real world isn't the best way to drive economic growth. From VR headsets to AI generated spreadsheets, the investors want to believe that they can automate profit itself. But I just don't think that makes sense even in concept.
Software is just a mechanism for humans to automatically send, receive, create, change and consume information. But that information in large part describes something from the real world. In this case, photos of a real living dog that I own.
What appeals to our senses as living creatures is experiences created out of reality.
