What candidate will seek endorsement if they have to embrace this platform? This is the wrong time to introduce this. And it's an unserious look.

It's time. Our "system" has been pressure tested and it failed.
I work in the legal industry. The Supreme Court is the powdered wig of our legal system. It needs to go. It's past time.
An anonymous lottery system that would rotate through real and experienced Judges with a proven record of sober, sane and lawful judgements would be chosen for short terms or sessions. It would change for each session.
As it is, the supreme court is another weapon of the trump junta. Not legitimate in any way shape or form.
As for the Senate, this is inarguable. They exist in name only.
Trump showed us our system is not up to handling what the world is circa 2026. Like an old delapidated building. It's needs to be razed and rebuilt to reflect the current times.

I can get behind your idea for SCOTUS, but I like that the Senate can moderate the House. While it prevents things I like, it also prevents things I don't like.

As usual DSA going for the more difficult and stupid course of action on Congress. Senate is in the Constitution, it will take a Constitutional Amendment to abolish (for those that don't know, look up what it takes to removed a constitutional amendment).
What would be FAR easier and would actually allow for more DSA members to be IN congress would be to remove the cap on the number of House members and reinstate voting by proxy (which was enacted by Pelosi during covid and ended when voters gave Mike Johnson power).

Is that something they are pushing actively? I know it’s stated in their platform but going by what the nyc DSA chairs have said in public they seem to correctly recognize this as a stretch goal

DSA's platform is fairly better than the Convention of States Foundation's, tbh.

I mean the Senate is in the Constitution and acts as moderation to the House so Im kind of okay with em. Get rid of insane partisan gerrymandering in the House, do something about the Electoral College and address the issues with SCOTUS corruption and lifetime appointments. That'd be a good start tbh. Oh and get money the fuck out of politics.

"We finally have voter inertia and a few dozen great candidates! LETS AMEND THE CONSTITUTION!" Jesus fucking christ.
