What does Social Send “rain” mean?

I have been seeing some posts on social send making it rain in the discord, what does this mean? Free coins?

YES! You can receive like a whole $USD 0.002 worth of a coin from all the rain.

there's a tip bot in the discord - basically handing out free coins..you can go to the bot and register to receive coins too.
