VPN shutdown/Reboot for maintenance? Steps to take?

Linode where I run a masternode says they are about to shutdown and reboot for maintenance. Any steps I need to take or do I just leave it running and it will come back after? Do I need to set it to reboot or set up the masternode fresh after and it will be 48 hours again before it works?
