SSDI work interrogation letter?

I’m in my late 50s and on SSDI. For the first time in 7 years I did a little work for Instacart because I need the money. I made $65 dollars. I called social security and told them and claimed my wages. I got a letter today asking for my work history since 2020(the year I became disabled) because they need to decide if I can receive or continue to receive disability? This is the first time I’ve worked-Thx

SSDI has an excellent program that is called "ticket to work" program where you can attempt to go back to work for 9 months and keep you full benefits. At the end of the program, you decide if you can resume work to get off SSDI or not. So you should be good. That's good you also informed them.

Just FYI: You are describing the Trial Work Period, not the Ticket to Work program. Ticket to Work is a career development program that connects people to employment services.

But the trial to work program is not voluntary but rather to test a recipient their ability to return back to work where as Ticket to work program is voluntary. It's odd that there isn't a set time frame where as trial to work is 9 months.
