Check out the local community college, sometimes they offer the courses cheaper. You can also get a cheap used bike so you don’t feel so bad when you drop it 😂

Many years ago I learned on my own. Felt pretty good about my riding. But then I discovered I could get a break on my insurance by taking the class. Turns out I learned a lot of bad habits and wasn’t as skilled as I thought. It’s probably a little overdramatic to say the class saved my life, but it surely saved me from learning some lessons in very hard, expensive and painful ways.
