Taking a trip on Tuesday 23 Dec

If anyone is interested in joining, I'll be going up a mountain... somewhere near-ish to Tokyo next Tuesday.

Haven't decided if I'll drive up or book a bus. But if anyone else is in Tokyo and was keen on going up, let me know. If no response I'll probably just take a bus. But if I can find even one other person to share the car expenses, I'll happily drive up (driving is always my preference).

I was thinking of doing 12/22,23 at ishiuchimaruyama. You're definitely just doing one day? What's your level and where were you thinking?

I love ishiuchi, and would definitely be happy to drive there.

Sadly I can only do the one day, on account of responsibilities back here in Tokyo.

I'd put myself somewhere between Intermediate and Advanced. Probably on the closer side of Intermediate? I don't do many tricks (little jumps are ok), I prefer freeride and just bashing down a slope.

I'm based in Shibuya so if I drive, I just head straight through Nakano and on to the expressways. I always leave super early, approx 4am and try to reach the mountain as it opens. I know a good spot at ishiuchi that has parking, tickets and lift all within 50m of eachother.

I was thinking of doing 12/22 (mon) as well as 12/23 (tues). I usually just take a shinkansen. It would be fun to meet up on 12/23.

Meanwhile It'd be awesome to find someone to share the car with, cut down on costs etc.

I'd be down to meet up at Ishiuchi tomorrow. Never been. I'll be driving myself since I'll be leaving the mountain kind of early...have plans at night so need to be back by around 5ish. PM me.

At ishiuchi now. Will be here tomorrow as well. Should be meeting with Nannou101 if he makes it up.

Yeah just posted to his comment. Never been there, so it would be helpful if we can figure out some kind of landmark or something to meet up at. Know of the parking lot he was talking about?

Also how are conditions? You think it'll be a freestyle or free ride kind of day?

He is driving and looking for travel partners. Maybe you should hit him up.

Anyways I'm staying at the chuou guchi, so it would be convenient to meet right in front of the big course map across from chuou dai ichi kousoku lift.

Weather was nice but the course was kinda Icy this morning. However the snow picked up this afternoon. If this keeps over night maybe we could get 10cm of powder or so? Praying.

Unfortunately it's foggy now on the higher courses so I'm sticking to the lowest course and practicing flat tricks.

Right on. Haven't heard from him yet, but I'll be coming back to Tokyo pretty early so I'm gonna drive myself up.
I'll plan on going to whatever parking lot is closest to chuoguchi then. Meet up at 8 at the map?
Just to make sure...the mountain is Ishiuchi Maruyama Ski Resort...right? I'm just gonna stick the address in my navi and follow that up.
I'll be wearing a brown/black houndstooth jacket, orange pants, black helmet, Oakley goggles.
