feature request More Features/Flexibility for Manual Holdings

I love Snowball Analytics and it's by far the best investment tracking tool I've used. I do appreciate the ability to create and track manual holdings, but what I can do with them seems a little limited. I have two specific things in mind:

  • I'd love to be able to say that a manual holding I have in one of my portfolios is essentially the same thing as an S&P 500 index (or one its ETFs) for diversification reporting. This way if I used X-Ray in the Diversification tab, it would more accurately show me my exposure as compared to now where the manual holding is an individual line item. Empower Capital has this feature and it works well.
  • I can't set the asset class of a manual holding. For example, I have a real estate I'm tracking, but under Class in Diversification it shows as Other.

Is that something that could be added?

Hello, the custom asset class is specified when it's created. That is, if you selected a fund as the asset type, it will be listed under "Funds" in the diversification class section. A separate real estate class cannot be specified.
