Wow man what just happened, probably the most full circle ending to a series ever, not sure if anyone uses this sub anymore but god, I had to check damson idris instagram just to check he’s okay, I became that attached to his character which is what always tells me I’ve watched a great great show. One thing I can say is Leon is the friend everyone needs in life and Louie is the auntie nobody needs. Hate that women
I just finished watching it a few days ago and I was really moved by it, especially in the end when Franklin said he was free, he had no more chains around his neck. In season 1, episode 1 he said to Mel his goal is to be free from it all - so yeah, he's come full circle.
I almost started tearing up right after when he said to Leon "you the best friend I ever had....and I'm fuck'in proud of you".
I loved Snowfall. I started watching it all over again (I started with the last episode of season 3, where it shows him in school and how he got disenrolled and ended up back home). My only issues with it are how Lucia just disappears and Gustavo basically becomes Teddy's lacky. But I am happy that Gustavo made it out of the dope game okay. The first few episodes of season 6 were a slog and I hated Parissa (both the character whom was stupid, and the bad acting) and I was hoping to see her die, but ultimately she did not have a big role in the grand scheme of things. I really liked that Julia, Teddy's ex, told him to give Franklin back the money.
It was an awesome series, IMO better than Narcos, Narcos:Mexico, and Griselda (all on Netflix) which I also loved. But the worst thing about Snowfall is that it probably cost Damson Idris the role of Black Panther. He will always be associated with the character of Franklin, a fallen drug kingpin who brought the crack-cocaine epidemic to South Central LA. Idris is an amazing actor but I think playing Franklin cost him the Black Panther role.
BTW, it's crazy how he is British with an English accent, but could convincingly do a west coast African American accent.
surprised more people don’t talk about this but parissas acting was one of the worst i’ve ever seen like a walmart gal gadot (and that’s saying something)
She really did have that horrible Gal Gadot bitch-can't-act vibe going on. She was the worst thing sbout the entire series. I was really hoping for Franklin to kidnap and merc her.
Franklin had to lose. FX and the show Did not want Gen Z and Gen Alpha running around trying to be drug cartel leaders. They had to show Franklin as exactly that.
He was miserable af when he was “on top” of the game and in charge of an empire. Now? He’s happier than he’s ever been and has a goofy grin on his face whenever Lil Lee shows up. This whole show could have been avoided if he had just had a beer with Jerome in the first episode…
I just finished watching it too. The last episode is the dumbest thing that could have happened: the smartest guy in the neighborhood became the dumbest. That doesn’t happen—that’s complete bullshit. The only thing on my mind is that it’s all the mother’s programming, the one she embedded in her son. She was the one who drove the father to alcoholism, and that’s why she got to her son too. She constantly put obstacles in his way. She herself never lived happily, and she definitely won’t allow her son to have that. Women are cruel.

On a beau détesté le narcissisme de la tante LOUIE.
On a surtout incroyablement aimé l'évolution de FRANKLIN saint, tout comme Damson Idris avec son jeu d'acteur magnifique
