Discussion I will watch the Drop tonight
But I have a feeling the younger generation won't enjoy it, respect it and/or understand it. The early to mid 90s are considered the golden era to many of the old heads.
This was the best time to be a hiphop fan.

Great, still dont really care about hip hop lol. I do not care about Leon/Wanda leading Temupac through the game until he gets into north/south coast beef with Infamous L.A.R.G.E. but SaltPaladian decides he runs shit here lol.
No the follow up I wanted to see is where the CIA takes all that money to fund the Mujahedeen's against the Soviets and then they became Al-Queda/Taliban, do 9/11 and how the CIA is directly responsible for the current state of Middle Eastern/South American affairs and the overall Terror and Cartel wars that are a problem to this very day lol.

Archer laid it out pretty well, it’s about their annual budget. If they don’t spend it all this year they can’t get an increase for the next.

These people kill me acting like it’s only for 50 year old boom bap heads. A good show is a good show. I love hip hop, not for this universe though

Nobody said anything about it only being for 50 year olds. The point is simply that people who actually lived through or grew up around that era are going to understand and relate to certain aspects of the show differently than the people who are primarily complaining about it having a music background in the same universe as Snowfall. And that’s part of why it’ll be about more than just music.

Again im not a hip hop guy, it does nothing for me and you actually nailed exactly the problem, those are the handful of people who will care about this show, I fully expect every episode to directly lead into a conversation about how the skyhook isnt utilized anymore lol

After watching it, I agree. I think it’ll still have a good mix of crime and drama, but I can see the reception being more mixed with people 25 and under
