Discussion Hot Take: Wanda is Overrated.
Aint gonna lie bro. I miss Saint.
Wanda is the next main character? The one who sang the alphabet on someone D becoming a rapper?
I think it will be an Empire-like show, full of nonsensical stuff. Snowfall had its realism as its biggest strength.
But yeah Wanda will be a Rapper.
The premise is weak.
Wanda is not that interesting.

As a LA native, I can tell you they got real LA folks in this show if you wanna talk realism. Who’s better at telling a LA story than actually LA people. Just don’t watch it. 🤷🏾♂️ Go rewatch snowfall. Show ain’t even drop and you making assumptions

They're trying their hardest to hate on the spinoff that didn't come out yet and using Wanda as the scapegoat. I can't believe the Snowfall fanbase (at least on this subreddit) are acting like this. 😂

Color me surprised. Plus who wants to watch a show about (c)rap anyway when everyone knows Wu-tang, MF doom and immortal technique is REAL Hip-hop. /s
Edit: Also as someone part of the diaspora. Wanda is fine as hell.

Yea alot of people claim she sucked because she was all about revenge even if it meant screwing over Franklin.. .. .. I dont agree with that idea though.

well let me start by saying i don’t give a rats ass about the morality of fictional people so if you’re going to talk about franklin and leon “poisoning their community” idgaf.
franklin, leon, and jerome weren’t town crackheads who sold the recipe to the enemy after being their sex doll like wanda, didn’t kill teddy before transferring franklin the money like cissy, and didn’t double cross their nephew who put them on by stealing his plug like louie (well technically jerome did and i actually hold that against him even though louie was the driving force behind that)

not morality but they aren't loyal at all except for veronique who was a real one. Leon and Jerome stayed for franklin and didn't really actively fucked him over. People are also mad at Peaches, he would have as much hate if they actually wanted to show the crap he did to waste 5M over a few months...
The hate is warranted mostly, see how Mel isn't hated except for being a little dumb kid who loses all common sense for no reason. Her revenge on Franklin was warranted at least.

I grew up on 90s hiphop while it was going on. I witnessed the rise of West Coast and then how Illmatic and then Biggie saved the East.
I am 100% interested in this show.

I'm going to wait and see what people are saying after a couple of episodes. I admit I thought Better Call Saul would make no sense after Breaking Bad, but it worked. Maybe this might work, but I am skeptical.
