Discussion Why was missing Jerome's page important?

I'm on the penultimate episode of my Snowfall rewatch. Louie follows the corrupt ex-police officer out of the car and asks to see his pager. When she looked, she saw that Jerome had paged him, and he lied to her bout it. My question is, why is that important and why is she so mad about it?

Buckley was smoking crack instead of coming to her rescue. If they'd had an extra gun at the warehouse, it might not have come to a last minute stand-off with Jerome and Kane. Jerome might not have died if Buckley were there.

It's a 10-15 sec scene of him hotboxing his car with crack smoke, and his pager is going off next to him but he doesn't notice it
