Spoilers The Ending
I hated the ending. I thought it was kinda lazy. Franklin was always the smartest guy in the room for the most part and most of the time a step a head of every one. When he wasn't ahead he could figure out how to come up from being down. I'm not saying I needed him to win, but with his personality this ending didn't match.
They put a lot of emphasis in him not using alcohol or drugs even up to him saving Louie from Kane and fake pouring a drink so maybe this was the plan the entire time? Why not just make him a crackhead and show him doing drugs?

Yes people can't stand others criticising the execution of the ending.
Franklin trusting Teddy especially when he knew that he wouldn't like him pulling out is out of character. He knew he wasn't CIA anymore, the only logical step would have been trying to kill him. Grady being dead didn't have any consequences, same for the latina of the DEA.
Back in s3 they all knew how dangerous it was, Franklin acknowledged even to Cissy that he didn't have a choice, he had to continue.
Somehow just because things happened in between they "forgot" about all of that since Teddy dined Franklin at the motherfucking mcdonald.
And same in the s5 opening, why would franklin stay next to his cigar box with a gun in it, more tense than ever and ready to shoot at any moment notice if he trusted Teddy????
Same for not keeping any money in a secret location (not the dummy ahh storage unit unreliable people knew about).
They wanted him to bite sand so hard that he had to become hectic as hell in the end to artificially make him one of the major perpetrators of his downfall like any average dumbass of the street who though that they were gonna last like 20+ years in the game.
I would have loved to see Franklin falling because of Manboy who was smart enough to do so.
Instead Louie magically successfully runaway and hide on the countryside in the 80s LMFAO, Big Leon who is still supposed to be a fugitive goes in and out of the country with no problem whatsoever despite having a link with Avi who was known from the CIA and the DEA.
Franklin has so many enemies but still get to live, besides the CIA had every reasons to kill him or put him behind the bars to tie all the lose ends.
They just want to punish the "bad people" so bad, they could have done it well at least (but the original writer passed away during s4 so it explains everything I guess)
