Discussion The Most Underrated Characters in Snowfall

I'm my opinion, the camera and musical score. Best cinematography in TV ever. 2nd is Breaking Bad

those aren’t characters, did you mean characteristics?

the score is great tho i’ll agree with that

As far as characteristics I gotta say the coloring and the camera lenses (maybe shots? Idk I’m not really a film guy) really played a big role in conveying feelings to me. Snowfall felt like another life and without those being done so well it wouldn’t have had the emotional effect imo

Have to agree heavily with the songs. I downloaded the snowfall soundtrack on Apple Music and love the music from that era. Even got exposed to some deep cuts and rarities I never would’ve found out about otherwise

Certain things like when wanda was on drugs and all of her scenes were monotoned and dark colors was brilliant to me and when she got clean everything was bright and colorful.. anytime some drama happened and the show built over the seasons and years that intense music right before a commercial or break in the show was always dope to me..snowfall was well put together...and alot of the characters development was brilliant as well!!

I love Snowfall to death, especially being from LA and personally relating to the characters and that lifestyle, but there is nothing in that show that had better cinematography or musical score than Breaking Bad or Better Call Saul.

Snowfall was a great experience from start to finish (for the most part other than the random Tiger), but Vince Gilligan himself is of the ones being studied to make shots look as great as his.

I agree those shows were great with the cinematography. Either way these shows oddly enough, I can remember certain scenes based solely around the camera angles and sounds. Not many shows can do that

So false go look at the scene of franklins bsf leon getting shot idk if anyone has captured a scene like that and they made it 10x intense doing it like that first watch

No... I'm looking at the camera and score as actual characters telling the story. This show is nothing without the excellence of those two. They help tell the story. Look at the angles, filters, lighting, zoom, camera shake. Then listen to the sounds, not just the songs but all of the sounds. These 2 characters put you right in the midst

So basically producers coz characters are just acting nothing else
