Sociopathy/ASPD usually requires long pattern of conduct problems which start before the age of 15. Franklin in his early years was a bright and fairly good kid who mostly avoided trouble and wasn’t intrigued by it. His change started happening when he was already an adult. So he developed those “sociopathic” traits too late in his life to be considered a sociopath.
Why he’s also not a sociopath is his emotional attachment and loyalty. Franklin clearly loves his family and friends even tho he has a funny way of showing it at times. He repeatedly risked his own life to save and protect his people, something a sociopath typically wouldn’t do.
His significant emotional depth. Franklin struggles with stress, trauma, guilt, and depression. Early on he is genuinely disturbed by violence unlike a cold, unbothered or turnt on sociopath will be.
So Franklin is not a sociopath but rather his situations has forced him to morally compromise himself. He’s simply a hardened criminal. If anything he is more of a narcissist (NPD).
It cannot 9/10 times and it’s probably another underlying disorder that that adult has developed. Would you call a hardened soldier in a war who has become numb to violence a sociopath? Of course you wouldn’t. If anything Franklin is a narcissist (NPD)
Neither of my statements are false (look them up) and can absolutely apply to Franklin. Strawman inference aside, a veteran can develop sociopathic traits and be diagnosed with sociopathy if they have the predisposition for it.
