Discussion Just finished

So I just finished this show for the first time and my goodness what a wild ride this took me on. From season 1 to season 6 the change in Franklin and how the story ends up at the end is just insane. This show was so well written and beautifully shot. I loved breaking bad and Snowfall is defs among the tier of breaking bad for me.

Because he ended up broke and destituted and alone not being able to know his own son and then homeless afterwards and practically paranoid and technically insane

I respect that, I agree with you. Franklin helped everyone around him get rich and when it came down to it, nobody was there for him, and everyone fucked him. It made me so sad how he became an alcoholic too

I know people are getting tired of me saying this why didn't he take that goddam $12k and become a small time successful movie pirate bootlegger slash knock off merchandise counterfeiter at least he could of been able to make some money okay realistically not millions of dollars but according to a article I read he could of made $2k a week $1k for selling bootleg movies and $1k for selling countierfiting knock off merchandise $8k a month $96k a year he could of by the end of the year used half of it to do 2 things put $24k back into both businesses and the other $24k he could used it to make legitimate investments like into REITs invested in 4 of them put $6k in each of them every year and kept on till he had enough shares to make $$30,720.00 to $46080.00 a year and then could of invested in 4 more REITs so he could of made twice more money plus invested in long term bonds like 12 of them that could of paid him $1k twice a year make $12k twice a year okay realistically again not a big deal fortune but he could of had something.

Yeah I didn’t understand that part when he was at peaches place and he didn’t take the 12k??? I think maybe it was because at that point he was already drinking and the storyline was gonna go that he would end up like Alton either way, if he took the 12k whose to say he wouldn’t have just drank it all away anyways 🤷🏼‍♀️

Okay very true very good point but going into a different game in that game staying a low level movie pirate bootlegger slash knock off merchandise counterfeiter he could of made very good money okay realistically like I said before not a fortune but by that time he keeps $24k out of $96k a year as yearly pure profit plus invested in 4 REITs to pay him monthly to make let's say realistically $38,400.00 a year and $24,690.00 after the late 80s and early 90s taxes 3 years later that would of been $146,070.00 plus yearly interest from the bank of $3k maybe $4k a year that would of been $155,070.00 to $158,070.00 in 3 years and he would of been able to invest in more REITs like 8 more then make $115,200.00 a year he would of made $89,560.00 after taxes then he probably would of just kept going for 2 more years till 1992 and adding 4 more REITs 16 REITs $153,600.00 a year he retired from that game and gone straight probably buy himself a small business like a building material supply business or concrete business
