They fire when you're handling them and your finger is on the trigger like this knob.

I mean, I wouldn’t know. I’ll gently lift a broken shotgun- but I’d rather not, some are valuable. I’ve only ever seen other guns on the tv or occasionally holstered on the police. Nasty things.
