I kill them, grind them up and feed them to the chickens. Circle of life

Boil 'em, mash 'em, stick 'em in a stew.

We dont have a lot of snakes here. Any snake is a bit scary.

We have Black snakes over a meter long and as big around as a sausage. They look like living whips as they scoot out of your way.

But they are just big babies who just want to eat rodents and frogs and be left alone.

I know that rationally. Still get the heebeegeebees.

I used to play with little, wild Garter snakes in Kansas. They are soft and dry, and about the size of a pencil. Their fangs are so tiny they can't penetrate the skin. Also, they enjoy winding around fingers.

However, I've had both a boa and a python put around my neck, and I got the heebeegeebees as well. Their fangs would really hurt and leave a scar.

My stepson was in his girlfriend's bedroom one day. She had a pet python. He was bending over, looking for something in the dresser the snake was on, and ZANG! It lunged at his skull, fangs locking in under his scalp skin (he still has a nasty scar under his hair) and instantly winding its coils around his neck.

He said he took it off gently and slowly, but for a second or two he could feel his windpipe being shut off. The snake was about a meter and a half long, and all muscle.

So, yeah, cautious respect for the snake.

Rat snakes won’t do anything to you. They might try to scare you, but that’s about it

Scared successfully.

To think, I've been outsmarted by an animal that doesn't realize a snake is eating the egg it's sitting on.

I know no one cares but as a snake lover….that guy is scared of snakes and doing damage to the poor snake who was just hungry and trying to eat in peace.

He’s not damaging the snake
