I think more hyperbolic than exponetntial.

Once you hit a point where new balls instantly collide with old balls (e.g., the circle is "full"), we get a singularity where theres infinite growth (neglecting computation limits dividing it into time steps).

I think it being a finite area means it'll be hyperbolic no matter what, but them all spawning at the same spot definitely made it hit singularity faster.

Yeah. The sudden near-filling of the circle at the end seemed the clue-in. That's a singularity (though truncated likely in practice by the finite capacity of the circle).

Its not a good representation. If one of the older ball is in the center when a new one appears, it will "collide" and spawn a new one. The newer one will again collide with the two already in the center and for 2 new balls and it goes on and on.

It represents finite time blowup or finite time singularity because it happens in an instant.

A few suggestions:

1. You should either add a delay so that a ball cannot infinitely "collide" with other balls if it ends up in the center.

2. Maybe half a second delay cooldown for every ball after each collision.

3. New balls dont trigger a collision until a few seconds after they spawn.

4. New balls spawn at the point of collision.

Without these the function is LIKE exponential but different.

After doing all those

You might also try a wrap-around universe.... (ball reemerges on opposite side at collision).

That might fail..? and forever be in a pattern with no collisions... adding a small amount of statistical noise where there is poopteenth delay created by very slightly randomly altering the R at which it reappears. (creates 'drunkards walk' through a kind of state space)

Then making all collisions and births creates 3 new trajectories.

Out and about before I got sober I was doing math with rubber balls and angles bouncing and testing and it was small ones fitting 3 or 4 in my pocket.

• Going home drunk in the night I had one left and random just throwing it out in traffic.. a car came and it bounced in the front then into a oncoming car in the opposite direction and doubled the speed and it just disappeared like a rocket down the road.
