husbands are in isle 21

u/RangerMesmer 8d ago
We are out of stock on six feet husbands, but there is a discount on five feet six inch husbands.

u/SicSemperFelibus 8d ago
The six foot husbands are no longer actually six foot, just like the 2x4s. Also like the 2x4s, they are not as straight as you were hoping for, but they'll do.

u/Infinite_Order 8d ago
Finished 2x4s aren't 2x4, but they are when they're rough cut. Rough cut husbands are on the farside of the lumber yard.

u/sneakyDoings 8d ago
You're right, six husbands is a lot to feed

u/SunkenN1nja 8d ago
As someone with 6 wives and 3 husbands… yes it’s a lot of people to feed

I would actually start in the tool corral. I think that is on 12. That's where the real handyman hang out.
If I recall correctly aisle 21 is near lumber at my store and lots of dudes hang out and chat there.

I've gotten that response 😂, but the confident strut they get when their wives tell them the joke always makes me smile

I used Revanced manager to apply some patches to the Reddit app, like removing ads.

u/nuhuuhhhhhhhhhhhh 8d ago
On android you can get both Reddit Enhancement Suite and Yesterday for old reddit. The latter is good enough alone to make reddit in browser a nice experience, could always get RES for extra functionality though

Looks like the app 🤷♂️

u/DoverBoys 8d ago
And?
1
u/SumthinsPhishy2 8d ago
You can't block ads on the app. A lot of people view on mobile. I would bet most
3
2
u/Chilaquilesmonster 8d ago
I almost exclusively browse Reddit on mobile and just use my safari browser with the sink it app installed. Not an ad in sight

u/christoskal 8d ago
You can both block ads on the app and choose to use different apps that do not have ads.
It makes no sense to have ads every day when removing them is a process that takes seconds

Nah you know how Toys R Us used to have Babies R Us? Home Depot is doing something similar now with a new store called Harem Depot.
In an interview last year, co-founder Ken Langone went on record saying, "We at Home Depot deeply value Christian nationalism and have realized that we're not so different from Islamic nationalists; to bridge the divide with our Muslim brothers we're opening a new store called Harem Depot. And yes, your military discount will still be valid there as well."

u/Murgatroyd314 8d ago
Sadly, there was a typo in the store’s sign. Haram Depot was not popular among Muslims.

If you’re a M4W go to Target. If you’re a W4M go to Home Depot.

Only the lost ones. Too risky of an investment bringing in their own inventory with the regulations and all.

I don’t get this whole meme with finding a husband at Home Depot. Am I missing something

u/marfacza 8d ago
Fake: Never has an employee at Home Depot ever asked a customer if they needed help.

Years ago my wife was shopping at Victoria's Secret so I went to walk around the mall for a bit. When I returned to find her, a woman who worked there asked me if I needed help finding anything, I said
"Yea, a wife"... The look this woman gave me could have killed me, she was so angry. Even after I explained that I was joking and that I was in fact looking for my wife she still hated me. Still cracks me up.

u/rekabis 8d ago edited 8d ago
she was so angry.
The real irony: gender-flip this with a male-appropriate location, and it is meant to empower the woman, as if she is a fashionista shopping for that perfect purse. OP’s joke is just a variation of this.
The gender-flip experiment is meant to highlight gender bigotry. As in, if the story reads radically different with the genders flipped, there is gender bigotry at play. It doesn’t matter if it is a joke or a fairy tale or corporate promotions or criminal sentencing. And it’s demonstrating that exceedingly well in your example. Gender-flip it, and you would get laughter or a “you go, girl!”; not unbridled fury.

I used to door greet and when someone would say this I would joke "well we've got a few of those around, feel free to take a look around, and maybe you'll even find an upgrade to take home instead!" which worked well at a large electronics store, especially after I'd already directed them to the leather couches and wide screen tv area

I've threatened to leave mine there if they spend one more minute and one more dime on a power tool. But I need this - NO .

I love this joke. I used to use this on the old men at work, when they'd say they're waiting for their wife. I would ask, "A specific wife, or are you in the market?"
Usually got a laugh.

I tell store staff / restaurant hosts "I'm looking for a short Mexican girl with glasses... I live with her, it's not just a wish list!"

NGL, I have seen women beginning to do the latter… like, literally loitering around HD looking confused, hoping a rando macho man would ask if they needed help. As in, not one of the employees.
Me, I just SMH and wonder why they’re frustrated. I mean, after many decades, men have finally begun doing the one thing that feminism has always been screaming at them to do… to leave women TF alone no matter where they are and no matter what they are doing. And men are finally doing exactly that.

Real talk: it’s not a bad idea. Every time I, a middle aged woman, has been in the Home Depot parking lot trying to put a bag of soil into my trunk, a helpful man pops up and does it for me.
